Snapped this monster storm front rolling in on the way home from pistol league.

Took me an hour to get home. 25MPH all the way, I’ve never driven in wind and rain so dense.

Roof did not leak at all!

imagine paying 80k$ + for a "truck" that does 0-60 in 8 seconds, can only tow 4,000 pounds only gets 17 MPG but only has 250 LB ft of torque.

I’ll laugh at you in a few minutes as I walk past my Gladiator (read: fun/beach/woods vehicle) to climb up in my 3/4t pickup.

As always: “get both” is the correct answer.

There are some 2 door Gladiator creations out there.

I personally would never own a 2-door truck.  Had one, it sucked.

Cripes even just test driving a 2 door truck, I hit my head on the back window when turning around to back up (pre-back-up cam days). Screw that with a mighty force, give me four doors all day.

Man I'm glad you didn't have to use your floor drains and you had enough torque to make it through the storm.

Yep.  Plus all your stuff has to go in the dirty(and less secure) bed if you’ve got a passenger.  Screw that.

That is the one I have been considering except the version without the bull bar.  How do you like it?

I really wish the Mopar steel bumper wasn’t so damn expensive.

LOD Destroyer steel frame mounted rock sliders. LOD also makes an aluminum version that you can add another step below.

I love this bumper. It is made in the USA, has holes for mounting a license plate, and foglight mounts. Installation is very hard either. I would buy it again if I buy another Jeep. Installed a set of Rigid lights and the Fab Fours skid plate.

The basket will allow me to mount my spare tire, hi-lift and pioneer gear up and out of the bed. Rotopax containers will mount on the sides of the bed rack. This is a similar, but much improved version of a set up I had on my Tacoma.

My rear facing dash cam was realigned/attached to the rear window, and is mounted just below the bed rack cross bar.

I had the Mopar on my first Gladiator. It was not bad at all. I really like the Icon Stage 4 lift better on my current vehicle. It definitely rides better.

Now’s the time.

I was literally going to drive to the dealership when they had the 15% off. My local dealer still has quite a few 23's left, I'm sure they would deal. But it didn't look like I could get into the 30's like some of you were saying, still in the 40s. Tempted to go see how good they would do on a leftover Rubi though.

‘23 inventory is really aged by now so some places are going to want to move them and you might get a deal.

Thanks for the info.

One holdup is that I think I’d prefer a recessed winch mount instead of a top mount.  Aesthetics mainly.

Haven’t 100% decided but leaning that way.

I agree with you there.

However, you’re gonna have a tough time getting the grill off without pulling the winch first

I’ll have to think about it more.  Your accessibility argument makes sense.

It's firmer. It feels more stable in turns, and the overall ride is improved.
Additionally, when I hooked my 3900lbs trailer up for a test hop, it had no sag in the rear, unlike the OEM suspension.

2020 JTR ordered early 2019. 3.6l/8sp/4.10's/35's/2" Mopar lift

Has a little over 100k, more than 20k of that towing a camper.

Great truck. I also had a 2021 Power Wagon, I kept the JTR and traded the PW. PW was really just a big Gladiator Rubicon.

I'd buy another one without hesitation if something happened to this.

Dinky update: I got my windshield replaced Friday, and since I had to remove my old gen 1 (for lack of a better term) Bulletpoint Rubigrid to give the tech some room to work, I replaced it with a current gen 2 two-piece Rubigrid.

Downside: I dropped a screw down the defroster vent.

Seems like there are a lot of good reviews.  I don’t think it will get heavy use, so for the price it was an obvious choice.

I’m going to replace the hook with a ProLink though.

Thanks!  I am not quite used to the exposed front tire looks but I think I’ll get used to it.

I’m going to get a set of traction boards, some soft shackles/tree strap/snatch ring and then I’m done for a while.

I ordered a ProLink to replace the hook and to keep the winch line completely covered and out of UV light.

I do want to put a 2-2.5” lift on it, but that’s going to need to wait till next spring.

A loaded Rubicon Diesel might get close, but that’s sticker.

There’s a 23 here at a local dealer…. it was around 77, they have had it as low as 61 and it’s still on the lot
