The character was well developed, well written and well acted. He was consistently good throughout the entire series. DS9 probably had the best writing of all ST TV series. It helps when you copy Babylon 5. +1 |

OP, I disagree. Gul Dukat is my favorite villain also, but the Borg Queen is the greatest villain.

I prefer Q or the doud Q was more like a big brother giving Picard a noogie than anything else. The Q continuum was the villain. The individual Q (De Lancie) broke/bent the rules to help out the humans. |

Q wasn't a villain, he was more like a very warped Guardian Angel sent to teach us some great life lesson.

Only ~4-5 episodes tie into the main multiple year story arc. Alot of daily life on a station type episodes the 1st season. Power through the 1st season. After that you will be rewarded with the best scifi series to ever be made. |

Not many people remember that the Star Trek series from TNG on drew from actors who were heavy on stage experience.
A lot of them specialized in shakespearean theater. |

Gul Dukat is an excellent choice but being a fan of the original Star Trek, I've always preferred Kor, the Klingon commander in the Mission of Mercy episode.
