Ive got to pull an all nighter tonight,
will some brief catnaps help keep up the quality of wortk |

Very bright lights, and move around to keep the blood flowing. I'm a freak of nature, I seldom sleep longer then 5 hours in a 24 hour period. Going 24 hours without sleep isn't a very big deal to me, after that....crap, I fall out.
Coffee works but go easy, you can over do it. |
| I work 12 hour rotating shifts, I am at work now, 6pm to 6am...and with shift change and showering the change house and etc, its about a 13 hours shift plus my drive in and home...i do this day after day, up to 4 days straight at a time with only 4-5 hours sleep each day...drink 2 or 3 cups of coffee per 24hours, keep moving, dont take cat naps (make you drowsy) and keep your mind task oriented, its easy. I learned in the military that sleep deprivation, while it may make you a worthless puttering zombie, has no short term or long term health risks...but of course the stress, change of eating habits and all that could lead to your death by heart attack hahahaha |

Quoted: Last time I hit 48 hours, I had halucinations of a Bradley backing into our bunker, and grabbed my buddy and ran out of the bunker....then realized the halucination wasn't one. (Fucking noob Bradley drivers...)I went to sleep at 7 pm and woke up at 1 AM. Fuck me I can't go back to sleep nowQuoted: Caffine/Nicotine Bright lights Moving around every so often That should get you through at least 24-30 hours without sleep. Its not hard. When you start pushing closer to 48 is when things becoming interesting. When I hit the 48 Hour mark I had hallucinations of killing Big Bird with a SMAW ![]() |

dont take catnaps. they are a gateway to sleeping for too long.
every time you start to feel really sleepy, get up and move around. do some jumpingjacks and drink some coffee. I used to do this alot and "taking a nap" was always trouble. stay active and keep the juices flowing. |

I stayed up long enough, where color started to become grey and I couldn't see real well. It was about a 50 hour stint. keeping the room really bright and lit up, and don't sit for to long will keep you up quite awhile. Been there, I also see spots at that point. I work 12 hr nights and try to switch back to a traditional sleep schedule on my off days. In case you didn't know it I'm off tonight and guess where my ass is while the wife sleeps? I have gone up to three full days with no sleep unintentionally though. If I dont drop what I'm doing right when I get drowsy I'm awake again by the time I lay down.

Caffine/Nicotine Bright lights Moving around every so often That should get you through at least 24-30 hours without sleep. Its not hard. When you start pushing closer to 48 is when things becoming interesting. I work graveyard security at a small college. I have found that a light UPPER BODY workout helps a LOT. I keep a couple of 20-pound dumbells at work so I can do this. Work enough so that you just barely begin to perspire. I do a few curls, some vertical presses (like military press w/ barbells), butterflies, and also a few squats: I hold the dumbells at shoulder level and squat. ETA One more thing: DON'T eat a heavy meal. Eat VERY light snacks. This keeps your blood in your brain and out of your stomach. |

Ive got to pull an all nighter tonight, will some brief catnaps help keep up the quality of wortk I have literally hundreds of all-nighters under my belt. There are literally 2 things that will keep you functional. 1) - Amphetamines - Dexedrine, Adderal, Ritalin. Any of these will work given sufficient quanity, sufficient desire to stay awake, and sufficient workload to keep you occupied. Ignore the "coffee will carry you" crowd ... this is a bunch of nonsense. I've drank coffee until I shook almost uncontrollably while trying to stay up all night, it WILL NOT save you if you are serious about staying up and being functional to study and take a test in the morning. I would HIGHLY recommend Adderal extended release 15-20mg capsules ... in my experience they work the best, have the least "jitters", the least stomach pain, and last the longest. You will have energy, alertness, and desire to learn for about 7 hours if you take one of these capsules (assuming no tolerance). Don't suck off the time release shell or break open the capsule ... doing so will give you stronger rush, but it won't last nearly as long. I took probably 200 different amphetamines prior to going to a doctor and getting my own RX for amphetamines ... now I take them few and far between, mostly on days before finals and midterms when I literally need to sit and study for 12 hours straight. Amphetamines are incredible, you will not beleive how badass they are until you try them for yourself. If you have an addictive personality, it's worth taking precautions however ... 2) - Food. Eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Food in sufficient quantity can substitute sleep for LONG periods of time, especially when combined with drugs. Whenever you start to feel tired, pound some Gatorade and eat until you feel like your stomach is overflowing. I've stayed up 48+ hours probably 50+ times, 72+ hours probably 5 times ... it's rough, but doable given the right tools. If you don't have food or amphetamines, give up, no way you're going to make it ... you may be able to stay awake, but you won't be focused or have quality awake time, so it's really not worth anything. So basically ... if this is a once in a lifetime thing, just eat a ton and do what you can. But if you plan on consistently having to do this once or twice a semester, it is 150% worth that visit to the doctor. All you really have to do is convince the doctor that your "ailment" is affecting you work/school/personal life, and that your life would be better off if you had some type of RX that would cure that ailment. It's very easy to do. Also, cat naps WILL NOT HELP YOU, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Falling asleep for even 5 minute will royally fuck you over, you absolutely cannot afford to fall asleep at any costs, or you will likely be tired/groggy the entire day, until you crash for about 16 hours. If you feel yourself slipping into tiredness, eat food, exercise to the point of exhaustion (I prefer pushups) and slap yourself in the face. You will come about, and be able to continue functioning. In before the haters. ETA: Also, since some other people have taken it there, a line of coke will do you a world of good if you know how to handle it and what to mix it with. |

What do they give the bomber pilots who do flights longer than 24 hours? (Isn't that how meth was developed?) bomber pilots get a form of amphetamine (speed), not "meth"amphetamine....and no we didnt come up with that, more than half of SS soldiers going into Poland in '39 were on speed, and so was Hitler (watch video of him at the end of his life, shakey and looking like a drug addict)...after ww2 it became popular in the civilian world in the form of benzys (the insed tab of a benzadrine inhaler) dropped in coffee and disolved (very popular among woman in the 50s....Watch the history channel dude |

I just need to make it till noon tomorrow so i can finish a final. |

Adderal and ritalin are not amphetamines, and thus are not detectable via the standard 5 panel drug test. I beleive that dexedrine is detectable, as it is basically synthetic speed, but I'm no chemist.
The point is, these types of drugs will wash out of your system, at least urine wise, in a week or less, some of them in 24 hours of less. My college (and many others) literally lives on adderal come finals/midterm time. You can find it just about anywhere. |

How often do you get drug tested? I get drug tested basically whenever my employer wants (RANDOM DRUG TESTS LOL) and a mandatory drug test whenever there is a major accident where someone gets hurt, where lots of product gets destroyed, or where damage to the building framework occurs. Given the constant possibility of being piss tested, it's nice to know that these essential college amphetamines pass through your system in a very short period of time. |

From an article about caffeine gum developed for the military.
http://www.usmedicine.com/article.cfm?articleID=1307&issueID=87 "We found out if you gave 200 milligrams, every two hours during the night without sleep, that you could maintain alertness at 100 per cent on a relatively boring task. We looked at different doses of caffeine, [and] 200 milligrams was the most effective," he said.

Amphetamine was synthesized in 1887 and wasn't controlled in the US until 1970. So there is a chance that US soldiers used in WWII along with the Germans. |

Hitler had Syphillis and Parkinsons. Morell was giving Hitler, according to memoirs, 28 different pills a day along with numerous injections (including many of glucose) every few hours and intravenous injections of methamphetamine at least one almost every day. Yet one has to seriously consider the state of his health, and question what, if any effect it had on the already fucked up condition. Poomba, I wouldn't mess with the drugs if I were you. Caffeine is good, just don't over do it. Get some motivational music going. |

Im playing rap music though right now but in the corner of my eyes i see fucking shadows moving i just ignore them though |

here's what you need to do, works every time.
go into the bathroom, drop pants, sundress, what ever. stand with feet a little more than shoulder withe apart, hop up and down,( landing on your heels, NOT the balls of your feet), this will cause enough of a shudder hopefully to break up and shake out the sand stuck in your snatch. there is no WAY, short of chemicals to keep you awake if you don't have the intestinal fortitude to STAY awake. you are either someone who can or you are someone who can't. i, unfortunately for me, am one who can. i have worked one 52 hr shift and to many 36 hr shifts to count. done 3 months at 12 hrs a day 7 days a week. more times than i care to count. SUCK IT UP AND DO IT, 11B

My ninja technique for catnaps: set your alarm for 15-20 minutes, slam down some caffeine and crash as hard and fast as possible. The juice will kick in about the time you'll be woken up.That usually gets me a reasonable productive and clear 3-4 hours.2 catnaps and the shift is over.
I do not do or advocate this while driving. When I'm tired,I rest and drive again when I feel like it.Had a shit scary experience trying to drive home from Ft. Bragg once and won't pull that one again. |

One all nighter and you are bitching how old are you?
You can't be older than 16 or maybe 17. Hell one night is nothing I did one nighters when I was 10. Hell here is what I use to in the Army on the 4th or 5th night with no sleep. I would slice open my inner mouth cheek and pour in a combination of Tabasco and MRE salt then eat a handful of ripped fuel. After that I would reach down and find that inner fortitude that let me stay awake for another night. In college when I do two or three days I eat ripped fuel and keep myself scared enough of failure that I stay awake. When I get to old old age I will use hookers and blow to stay awake for weeks parting my way to hell. |

I can't go back to sleep now
