Barrel declination is a issue when hunting varmints with canned soup

Quoted: First- a recap: My first two threads went well. OP delivered, one with a NV kill video, the other a NV pic was the best I could do. For some reason my wife didn't want to wake up and put on clothes to come outside and film me battling an up-armored possum through a PVS-14 in the middle of the night to show off to my friends on the internet. The third thread was a failboat. I got sent out of town for work, and the critter had moved by the time I got back. The thread died with a whimper. I'm here today to atone for the third thread. The same hole under my house has been dug out twice in the last week. I think I have a new critter living in there, and he seems active. Last two kills were with a suppressed P229. I'll be upgrading the firepower this time. My weapon of choice will be a can launcher. Lower has a Geissele SSA-E trigger in it, because anything that can fit a G trigger should get a G trigger. Optic is an I2 9007 I pulled off a different gun. I have no idea on the zero. I'll give it a try some evening if I get a chance before battling my new critter. Ammo choice is Walmart brand cream of mushroom soup because nobody here likes that shit and I don't know why she bought it in the first place. Wish me luck! Stay tuned for updates. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/236406/2E3FB276-E8BE-405B-9D77-F839BB260B04_jpe-1424417.JPG View Quote |

The parrot thread is taking off and it doesn't even have a plan in place, let alone a cream of mushroom soup launcher.

Whatever it was killed the OP and is now coming after us with his can launcher.

My money is on the dillo. Dillo will blade at 45, slap the OP, take the pink flip flops, and escape.
|
|
We're still waiting... This thread has turned into a safe thread.

The dillo is rioting right under OP's face and nothing can be done. Let's pack it up.

Update: no activity from his hole the last few days. I haven’t given up yet. In other news, I got in a cqb shootout with a skunk on a hog hunt a couple days ago. Does anyone know how to get skunk scent out of a plate carrier? |
|
Video of skunk shootout? What type of soup did you use? It doesn't sound like it was tomato.

View Quote SCAR 17 SBR out the passenger side of a sxs We were coming in for the evening and my buddy spotted a skunk that he’d been trying to get from by his house for a while. He put down his thermal and we drove in on him. My buddy doesn’t have nods so I had to guide him in. It took two drive by passes at full speed to tag the skunk. By the time of our second pass it was pretty dang skunky. |

View Quote If you really don't know, use a strong detergent to remove the oily component, followed by hydrogen peroxide to kill the scent. At least that's what I read on the internet. |

My luck the little bastard would come back, I'd get all geared up Me: "honey where's my ammo?" Honey: "I made a casserole"

Dillo turned your house into an autonomous zone, OP. In before pics of commie garden!

Quoted: That must have been earlier in the day. This was later. Picture quality sucks because, well, it was taken a while ago. Why you go naked? A TX thing? https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/179919/glyptodon-humans1_jpg-1432582.JPG I really, really want to see how that can launcher does! Hopefully the weather's good tonight and you feel the house move as he makes his exit. View Quote |

Alright, this little guy has been incredibly elusive. I don't think he's living here full time. Movement is unpredictable and intermittent. In an effort to deliver, I will be raising the stakes by adding a skunk to the kill list. He is living in my mom's yard and she wants him gone. Will be done under nods of course. |

OP is a gentlemen and a scholar. This is hilarious. Imagine the indignity of getting pelted with a can of cream of mushroom soup that leads to your death.

Heh, feel like coming out this way, got a gopher that I've gas bombed multiple times, flooded, and shot at (I missed...farging twice now, I swear that little shit is psychic, or something)...cheeky bugger keeps digging and sets the spent gas bombs on top of the dirt mound for me to pick up. Bobcat hasn't got him, neither killer kitty has, either. Did manage to stomp a squeak out of him, couple days ago, when I stomped one of his mounds down. Been considering rigging some M80s, or similar, remotely.
Starting to feel like Bill Murray with this asshole. |

Log entry day 62
Water and food are running low but I will continue following this thread as long as I can. Hopefully soup will be found over the next ridge. |
