Quoted: Juneteenth was mainly a Texas holiday until the libs made it nationwide . It has always been celebrated in the county I live in , which had a very large slave population at the time the news spread that they were free . But yeah , making it a fed holiday is stupid . Update
Went to drop off some stuff & returned on my motorcycle. As I turned into my Cul-de-sac I noticed our street had "visitors" ... Several young people who clearly did not live there quickly piling into a sedan and rapidly driving off. Definitely got the impression they might have been "pulling door handles" looking for some quickie freebies. When I rode in, they quickly rolled out. 11:45 and the noisy as hell... Lucky me... I'm really surprised that this "mass shooting" occurred at such a peaceful fun-loving event!

View Quote “Trump’s America”? Weird, I didn’t think Trump was president anymore. It’s been “Biden’s America” since Jan 2021. Besides, it isn’t Trump supports shooting up Juneteenth gatherings, or any other gathers of blacks. |

Update from Round Rock Police Department
Round Rock police are investigating a shooting incident Saturday night that left two people dead and multiple others injured during a Juneteenth celebration at 1371 Harrell Parkway, within Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. At about 10:50 p.m., the shooting began during an altercation between two groups at the event, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said. Two people died as a result of the incident, and multiple injured bystanders were transported to area hospitals, Chief Banks said during a news briefing early Sunday morning. The victims were not part of the altercation, Chief Banks said. Additional information about the victims is not yet available. No Suspects have been arrested & authorities are requesting the assistance of the community to identify those involved. There are times I really hate being "right" when "I have a really bad feeling about this*. Really sucks that certain "groups" just can't "get along" & end up as usual killing & injuring innocent bystanders. Bigger_Hammer |

ATF seemingly could give a shit about Glock switches. I guess the bright side is that the feral criminal community hasn't widely adopted 3d-printing lightning links, and thereby using automatic weapons with much higher lethality than regular handguns. |

Relocated back to Central Texas (Round Rock) 3 years ago to be closer in taking care of my aged Mother & also to be closer to my children too. I'm not getting any Younger nor are they. Our community literally borders the park & I walk those hike & bike trails every morning (except when traveling on business). Old Settlers Park has always been a extremely safe park for everyone - no thuggery tolerated there. The idiots who greenlighted that Juneteenth event were absolutely pants on head retarded - the outcome was way too easy to predict with ultimately tragic results. We have seen the same thing happen again and again in Austin (think of the 6th Street shootings) when "Two groups of young Men" decide to whip out guns and open up in public ultimately killing or maiming innocent bystanders. View Quote Usually an event organizer get some capital and then decides on a venue and decides entertainment acts to hire, while holding a target ticket and concessions take in mind, he then organizes people to put up barriers to prevent people from going anywhere in the event without a chance to separate them from money. Then security is added. However, the security is nerfed because it's racist. |
