This thread shows me just how poor I am. I can't find the cash for a newer truck, let alone the thousands for lifts and stuff.

It's funny. If a Tundra owner was doing the lift himself it would usually be a full weekend. He would start thread full of pictures and angst on some Tundra forum.
For you? A quick morning job. Same kinda deal for me when someone posts about a 500 mile road trip. What emergency gear should I bring? What should I look out for? Has anyone done this? Yeah, well, I did 600+ miles yesterday, 500 today and I'll do 600 more tomorrow. And so on. Another day at work. |

I love lifted trucks and big tires
The shit that gets destroyed and worn out because of it brings in easily a extra half million bucks a year to our shop. Go brodozers! |

Have you ever rebuilt CV shaft?
They sell kits for it and I was wondering if it is worth it. Looks messy but I can clean up. |

View Quote Rebuilt, no, put new boots and grease and new lock ties, yes, have not replaced the actual bearings/races, if those look bad then I'd recommend to replace the whole thing. Look at that one axle on the 1st page. |
