So I've been working on my truck AC for 5 days in a row now. Refitting it to R134. Everything was going according to the way google said it would, except charging it back up. I spent the LAST 3 FUCKING DAYS BAKING IN THE SUN trying to figure out why the fuck it wouldn't take any r134. It wouldn't take any. None. I figured there must be a clog or something that is preventing it. So I re-replaced two parts I'd already replaced hoping to fix it. Nope. So then on a whim, I went and got a can of that DIY recharge stuff that has the stupid little gauge on it. IT WORKED! Which meant my manifold gauges didn't work.
So my by it once, cry once plan failed miserably. The gauges I bought were $149.00. I could have bought the 49.00 ones from autozone and been done 3 days ago.
