Bama comes calling at this moment is a nice program to take over. Pressure is gonna be intense though, short of a lot of natties Yeah, it's always been a pressure filled job, but I think Saban and Byrne both have a hand in who gets the job, and I think they pick a good one who can handle that pressure...............Just no Deion or Dabo Maybe Ryan day wants to head south I dont see him leaving Ohio State |

Texas has 2 conference championship appearances since 2009. Expectations for success will continue to be higher at Bama than at Texas. |

View Quote yep. but the timing may be dead right given how different college football is gonna look in 2 to 3 years. saban will exit before more severe makeover takes place. i'm surprised cause i thought he may see it as a challenge to help shape college football's future staying in the mix the next couple of years |

Quoted: A living legend is retiring, kind of sad about it honestly. View Quote Lots of changes going on. I was thinking about things on my morning drive. The days leading up to a big game, because it means something, were exciting. This was because if your school lost, then it's over. If you won, you knocked someone out of the NC race and you survived and advanced. Now, regular season games won't matter as much. You could have 2-3 losses and still make the playoffs. Not much excitement there...just like the NFL. No player allegiance to schools. They are all free agents. Parity will run wild. It will be very hard to create dynasties like what Saban did. Soon, all of the conferences will dissolve when playoffs get expanded. There will be super conferences of 20+ teams that will serve as preliminary brackets for the final playoff system. Bowls will go away, unless they decide to make the bowls early rounds of the playoffs. It could work, but I think schools would prefer hosting games. CFB will be a shell of what we have experienced over the past 50 years. |
