Quoted: Now Ich, this one isn't an innuendo, she's actually talking about the dish Personally, I want to try cooking Beef Wellington this year. Never tried it before, figure it's worth a shot. Now Ich, this one isn't an innuendo, she's actually talking about the dish Personally, I want to try cooking Beef Wellington this year. Never tried it before, figure it's worth a shot. I’ve only had it once, and it was extraordinary. Perfectly cooked by a classically trained chef who tried to open a fancy restaurant in the town over yonder about a decade and a half ago. One of those where you are presented with the menu for the evening and paid about $100/plate. The restaurant failed, but the food was amazing while it was open. |

Quoted: Yea. But how recently was it a special thing? Maybe they were just that fuckin' hungry and stupid goose was all they could find. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I have this idea that it can be delicious if prepared correctly. I mean, there’s a reason it was a special thing served on holidays. But then again, so was fruitcake. So I dunno Yea. But how recently was it a special thing? Maybe they were just that fuckin' hungry and stupid goose was all they could find. It’s been a while. But it was food for the nobility, so they probably weren’t starving or anything. |

They probably don't even come with a spare set of midribs for when they fall off.

Never had it, going in blind It’s very difficult to get the flaky pastry just right and not soggy without overcooking the filet, and if you overcook the filet, you’ve ruined everything. But no one wants a soggy pastry. |

Again, I have this idea that homemade could be really good, but then it became this horrible commercialized, cellophane-wrapped abomination that no one ever wants. Going back to recipes from the 1800s, it’s probably really good. |

Just got a phone call from one of my credit cards.
Had it since 1993. Always paid on time. No issues ever. They're reviewing my account due to purchases I've made at certain merchants and payments I've made to the FBATFE. I'll get a letter in 7-10 days with their decision. WITAF????? |

Dull commute.
Tonight is gonna smell like 5-Day old Biden socks. |

Fluffy clouds to East are giving way to Dark, Thunder-Boomer clouds as I type.

OK, we need the rain.
Currently the 4th driest August on record. |
|
As long as there are no power outages.....
....And the rain ends before I go home tonight... |
