I never, nor will I, ever get used to standing next to a spinning prop.  I always end up walking like Frankenstein, very slow and deliberate so I don't puree myself.

Leak check...sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

See all the oil or hyd fluid splatter on the side of the aircraft...

ETA:

The FE cancels out the thrust...on the J, not sure who..engine shop run up qual or a crew member with a college education... Usually the B5's or B2's get chained down.

I hate heights, but this deosn't bother me at all.  Those blades are further away than the look.   And they should be blowing backwards right?  They can't reverse and suck you in?

West Coast Marines, VMGR-352. Look to be checking for a leak in the prop housing.

The 1st pic is about 10-12 inches...away.

You can gradually remove the thrust before hitting reverse thrust...for simple sakes.

Yep.  I work around jets all day long, did 20 in the aviation Navy, and still don't like props and rotors.

Well I guess in the first one he's made a point of leaning out of his box
