ETA: As to rejection, Pilsner and pale lagers are extremely with popular with Texas craft brewers. Real Ale's Hans' Pils is my goto beer when my kegs run dry. Quote HistoryWhem did they start fast shipping? Last bottles I tried were quite skunky

That's because they use green bottles, six pack carriers that don't exclude light and then the shitty conditions they are kept at in retail outlets. As mentioned, Pilsner Urquell is much better since they switched to completely enclosed packaging. |

When you can turn around an ale in 1 or 2 weeks vs. a month or more it's an easy choice financially. That's why alot of breweries use kolsch yeast for their lagers

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Heineken a pilsner as well? I drank a cold bottle after cutting grass last weekend and I was amazed at how crisp and clean it seamed.
