Just out of curiosity, what does Wal mart charge when they even have them?
ETA: these aren't 550 round boxes, they're 525 rounds.

Yeah, I think so.
Well, I saw 'em this eve. As of 15 min. before closing they'd only sold one.
I might was well buy one when they open tomorrow. Waiting for Wal-Mart to get any you'd spend $20 in gas just driving there and back and there and back and there and back and....

I have seen two differently packaged Federal .22LR "bulk packs" in the past few years. One style of packaging I have indeed only ever seen at Walmart. The other style of packaging I have seen everywhere.

The hardware store gets their ammo from Ellett Bros., one of the country's largest firearms distributors (Chapin, SC)

Went over to Ace Hardware today and bought one and brought it home and the label says...
"VALUE PACK 525 ROUNDS"
I'll be damned. Guess Wally World does have a lock on 550 round boxes.

Heh .
Leave it to a fellow Alaska boy to show em how it's done .
Sorry to put you on the spot Kodiak-AK... I stole that picture from another member. I thought it was amazing too. I just thought I'de post it for shock value. Before ammo prices went up I had about 80,000 .22 LR... and I thought that was excessive, but I've since helped out my fellow Alaskan's who couldn't get any .22 and am down to about 25,000...
