Back in 1971 when my old hood was being built the builders ran over a spring that was going to be my best friends back yard with a D9. It got stuck and over the next two days sank out of sight. As 9 year olds we of course tried to dig it out.

M88A2 FTMFW!

We had an Amtrac get stuck in Las Pulgas lake on Camp Pendleton in the mid 80's. The M88 Hercules needed 11 other Amtracs chained together as an anchor to pull it out as the M88 kept pulling itself towards the stuck vehicle. As long as there is a solid anchor, the M88 will winch out just about anything.
