Not for serious competition. Looking for a suppressor ready target rifle running CCI SV, primarily. I have a Savage MkII FVT setup as a long range trainer, but I like to shoot Appleseed with a bolt action, and it’s not very good for that because the action doesn’t like to move that fast and the magazines ar not great. Otherwise, it’s a very accurate gun but not threaded for suppressor.
I can get a CZ 457 At-one for just under $700 OTD or a Ruger American Rimfire Target Stainless (model 8367) for about $525 OTD
I could go with a cheaper model RAR, but add the cost of a decent stock, and it’s more than the Target model.
I have a couple 10/22s, so magazine commonality is a plus. I do like 10/22 mags better than the single stack style.
I had an early RAR compact that shot above its price point. I also had a Ruger Precision Rimfire that was great other than the shitty chassis and random flyers.
I have no experience with the CZ other than reading great things about it.
