I preferred the magpul case with a good screen protector over the otterbox cases. The magpul doesn't stretch out like the otterbox does and is slimmer.

My 5c has a Urban Armor Gear case. Solid and small but I think it would give reasonable protection. It's also slick on the outside so it's easy to pull out of my pocket. They're pretty cheap on Amazon.

Incipio case. Very minimalist. I use it solely for some traction to keep my son from sliding the phone off the table, which he could do easily when it was nekkid-nekkid. |
