So on June 19, 1865 a couple of Texans thought it would be a good idea to celebrate the ending of slavery in Texas and the tradition is born? Why don't y'all stop killing each other? It's disgusting.

And to think I was nervous about going to Rockdale to Cheesecake to meet a bunch of gun owners I have never seen before.

I tend to stay away from all public gatherings.
Just because I carry a gun doesn't mean I have to put myself in a situation where I might need to use it. A Juneteenth celebration seems like a good place to get capped. As apparently are some funerals and anything that takes place on MLK Boulevard. |

In 1999, driving thru Round Rock, headed to AAA to obtain International DL…right in front of RR Hospital, a fine young man decided to whip out and thread the traffic needle. He failed. I T-boned him doing 55. Lady in a Suburban on my tail nearly made it a threesome. RR Police were there in minutes. Feller had no license plate, no veh reg or ANYTHING identifying himself or the car. No speak English. He got a quick ambulance ride back into hospital. Totaled my Jeep, but no injuries to me. Funny, i was selling the Jeep, but even after deductible for uninsured motorist, I actually made out. This is not a recommended method however. Never returned to RR.
