Anyone who has ever been around someone suffering from the advanced stages of dementia will recognize everything about the potato's behavior. His handlers can keep him somewhat lucid for a brief time if they can time his meds and rest correctly. But those times are going to get rarer and rarer as the meds lose their effectiveness. I'm sure they have him on the bleeding edge of dementia med tech, probably on stuff that's not available to the public given that he's got an unlimited budget for such things. But even those aren't going to work forever, and likely not for much longer. It's just the nature of the disease.
He certainly appears to be on the quickening decline now. Perhaps, as someone suggested, they are withholding meds so when the debate comes, he will appear to be far more on his game. Who knows. The DNC is so desperate, I wouldn't put anything past them at this point. |
