300fagout excels at one thing: fun range day for new shooters. That's all I use it for, but if I had to use it for hunting or HD I wouldn't cry about it.

I like my 300BO.
It’s a 10.5” Noveske barrel that I put my YHM 308 can on. Quiet. Accurate. I wouldn’t hesitate to use for SD. |

I've only taken two deer. One with a 16" AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel and the other in an 18" suppressed bolt-action .300 Blackout.
Identical impacts just behind the shoulder at 100 yards. The Grendel DRT'ed the deer and the Blackout deer ran 50 yards before laying down. I rule .300 Blackout gay and inferior. |

Wilson Combat registered the 300 Ham'R with SAAMI recently. It is the old 7.62x40 wildcat.
Supersonic 125 grain 30 cal at roughly 2500 Ft/sec MV. Similar performance to the dead .30 AR from about 10-15 years ago. Maybe one of the big ammo companies will make it? Years ago I got an account warning for calling 300 BO the 300 WTF. Either way, I'll keep my 6.8SPC. |

Have 2, 1 an SBR. In the attempt to be the perfect round it sucked at just about everything. A 10mm PCC has better Ballistics at 50 yards than subs and supers are destroyed past 200 by 75gr projectiles in 5.56.
Still have them and are fun for wounding hogs but definitely not something I would choose for killing something I want to eat. |

The comparisons were laughable. Comparing a 10.5 inch barrel shooting one of the most effective 5.56 loads to a 6.5 inch barrel shooting a load nobody uses. AAC even sends him free ammo and he couldn't even use their cheap 110 Vmax load?
A better com0arison would have been a 10.5 inch .300blk shooting TSX or Vmax. |

I’m usually a fan but testing ballistics of 300bo vs 5.56 using a 6” barrel with subs for 300bo vs 10.3” 5.56 shooting 77gr supersonic, the results are exactly what we’d expect. 110gr black tips would have been a more fair comparison |
