Growing up they only had the coldcut "subs" and made to order on the flat top steak sandwiches.
There is a WaWa going up in the next town over I may give this gut bomb you speak of, a try |

Over 2000 miles away, but it sounds fantastic! On my way!
Gas station burrito? $7? Is this like the areas of the country that don't have good pizza and the best pizza comes from gas stations? And wtf! Is a breakfast pizza? |

The only time I was ever in one of those places was in Philadelphia. That one time was enough.

I used to love Senior Taco when I was working, the California Surfing burrito was damn good!
I would always think that I would only eat half (the thing was huge) but it was so good I wound up eating the whole thing. ETA - carne asada, shrimp, fries, pico. cheese, guacamole & creamy chipotle |

Nobody will be coming to save you, plan accordingly.

I spent less than that for a burrito over 4 times that size from a real Mexican restaurant.

There's a little convenience chain in the middle of TXNMO called Allsup's
If they have shooed the roaches off their food counter, I highly recommend their deep-fried beef and bean burrito. They are magical and possibly worth needing a HEP C treatment later -edit- aaaand I'm like the fourth person to say Allsup's... They only have like 40 locations. Yet four of us are up in a burrito thread recommending. |

A lot of hate here for gas station food. Rightly so for old timers. I remember stale hot dogs and shit along with sticky floors.
But now they've figured out they make more $ selling food and sodas than they do gas and they’ve upped their game. Sheetz, Royal Farms and Wawa are all good to go. |

Wawa was a deli. About 25 years ago, they started adding gas pumps and would not grant franchises unless you built a "super wawa". Then they started making existing places add pumps. It is still a deli/convenience store at heart. You can now get cheap gas while getting your sandwiches.
Calling Wawa a "gas station" is like calling Buccees a "gas station". |

We're supposed to be getting a Wawa soon near here. We had them where we moved from. Always had good gas prices and good coffee for us swill drinkers.
Heard they have pretty good subs too but never got around to trying them. |

I have no idea what the hell I am doing. My last words will probably be, "Well hell ... that didn't work."

when I have to fly into Philly for work, usually hit up the WAWA for a cheesesteak quesadilla

Great hoagies with Amoroso bread, big pickle barrel, the whole shebang. Then they went full retard with trying way too many food options. Their corporate office's kitchen team should be given the firing squad. They need to drop everything off the menu except hoagies and soft pretzels and stop hiring the purple haired crowd. It's better than Sheetz food but it is a shadow of what it once was for food. Now I just get gas or diet iced tea. |

Its just a gas station. I been in a few WaWAs. They are just like any other gas station around me. It would ever occur to me to buy food at one. and 7 bucks? Ill just get a real one from real mexicans.
ETA and for folks saying Bucees. Their brisket sucks. There I said it. Other than that I like Bucees |
