My wife's pistol build is complete.  Here she is showing it off!  I'm so proud of her.  And best of all, now she has her own gun to shoot instead of using mine all of the time!

-Sun Devil upper and lower
-Spike's tactical buffer tube and ST-T2 buffer
-Buffer tube cover by "Stitcher"
-White Oak 7.5" barrel
-YHM lightweight FF rail
-Noveske KX3
-DPMS LPK
-Magpul trigger guard
-Ergo Suregrip tactical deluxe
-Magpul MBUS sights (get delivered tomorrow)

Still need to slap an Aimpoint T-1 Micro on it in the near future.

I try to avoid adding up how much I spend on a build. The seem super cheap when you buy it a little at a time.

you should get the YHM rail and KX3 done in pink...that would look pretty sick!
I never saw, how much was the anodizing, or did sun devil do this for you?

that devilcoat color looks like something I would be down for

The uppers and lowers come anodized straight from Sun Devil.  The dealer that I got mine from was local but they sell on GunBroker.com.  The dealer is 5 Star Arms.

I like the idea of the KX3 done in pink.  I was planning on getting Magpul XTM rail covers and duracoating them pink and then do a checkered pattern alternating black and pink rail covers.

That is one sick looking pistol she's got there.

But let's be honest...is it really for *her*?

I've been meaning to get a colored set from Sun Devil to match my FDE furniture...especially since they're located not too far from me. I stopped by their booth at the NRA convention last weekend and I was really impressed with the different finishes. They had that wooden rack with all the colored pieces on display.

I really like the rail cover idea!  You are entering on a whole new level of customizing now!!!

We took it out to the range today for the first time.  The pistol fired perfectly every time.  Not a single FTE or FTF.  We put about 100 rounds through her.  I would have a more in depth review for ya, but we really just spent most of the time sighting it in and running checks to make sure everything was running good.

The rest of the time was spent working on our Glock pistol handling.  We just got our concealed carry permits so were were practicing drawing our Glocks from a holster and snapping of shots at a threat.

I looked through the entire picture page several times in the past months, That's almost exactly what I'm building, 7" SS barrel, YHM carbine FF LW hand guards, mine will be black though, I keep telling the wife it's for her, all the upper reciever parts and LPK are waiting at home for my deployment to end.

I haven't decided on the buffer tube yet, leaning towards RRA, or just a standard carbine tube with a foam cover.

Great Looking gun, thanks for posting the pictures.
