You may not believe this, but I just pulled an all-nighter over there at AA.
Bridge Crossing. I like that one. TNT server and Official US server 91. Those two servers have a good mix of playas, not pros. We need headsets and a game plan and I'm sure we'll do well. |
Yes I agree with getting on AAOtracker. You can keep track of your stats. Its pretty cool
Okay guys, I set up our clan on aaotracker. Go set up an account, then click the "user cp" button on top, select "tracker control pannel", in the clan section use:12120, password:colt. Once we are all set up, it will not only track our statistics, but also let us know where everyone else is playing. This should take care of our biggest problem; finding each other!

it is case sensitive...did you use the right info?
you have to have a username then go thru the steps to join the group |
Done and Done... See you guys on the "Field"! |
Now, to make finding people really easy, add the names from our clan page to your "buddy list"
Duffy....got to www.evenbalance.com and update your files....

Signed up! -[Rej]- Stratohopper.
Maybe I should come up with some sort of hybrid clan title, RejAR15 or something. Thanks for the heads up! |
Whoo hoo our stats so far.....Someone should make us a banner..anyone?

OK, signed up aoonline.
found you all as buddies. Can see if you're online or not. How do I find you in a game? |
It is asking for a username and password to enter.
You said "colt" was the pw, what's the username? My AA name? |
OK, I'm pretty sure I've got things nailed down. However, I looked at our stats and it shows I have no honor or stats of any kind. This is wrong. I've played for three days now....
What gives? |
I think it takes a few hours for the server to refresh stats... It said the same for me after I 1st signed up, then after playing for a few hours, I went back, and my info was updated.... |
Stats start keeping track thre day you join. But you honor updates daily |
How does one increase honor? I've only been playing online for a couple days... its still at 10? |
gettign the experience points. you get 10 for a kill, so many for getting an objective, so many for winning, and for being a squad leader. If you go here login.americasarmy.com/ and login, then scroll down a bit, it tells you how many more points you need to go up to the next honor lvl. The higher honor you get, the more points it requires to keep going up |
DONE. If you folks wanna increase your points (honor) try looking for a server running SF Hospital.... |
Yep, SF Hospital. I was sniper on ambush yesterday, and had barely reached my spot when the mission was complete. Either my team was really good, or the VIP wasn't well protected. Either way, it's a fun little map with CQB and sniping all in one.
BTW, I'm still reeeeeal green at this game. There are so many things that I need to learn in order to not only compete, but to move "up" in the "standings." I'm not very good at moving my guy around, as my coordination with hand, arrow keys, and mouse aren't very nimble yet. Therefore, my CQB skills in this game are limited.
I am a little better at the more open stuff. Also, I like the Bridge games. Both of them. We should set up a command/team structure for our clan, fellas. Complete with specialists (snipers, automatic riflemen on SAWs, etc). |
Another thing, other than the buddy list, is there a way to see which clan members are playing right now?
OK, I qualified for sniper marksmanship training. However, how in the heck do you stabilize the darn rifle while firing. With the breathing, it is all over the place. Getting the crosshairs on target seems near impossible at this stage. I hit nothing in my first attempt at sniper marksmanship training!
Did you use the bi pod? When in pron press h and it will open the bi pod. It is still shaky but controllable.

Dave_A
[AR-15]Dave_A Can't play right now, as a storm screwed with my phone line. I'm gonna try a commercial-grade (USR Courier) modem in place of my current one, if that doesn't work I'll whine to the phone Co (I get my dial up free, and play half decent with it so long as I avoid CQB maps (pipeline, MOUT), so DSL/Cable is out). Favorite maps: Mountain Pass & Bridge SE... Especially when playing vs dumbass deathmatchers, it's INCREDIBLY fun to run right around the battle to the objective & win without firing a shot (I've been kick-voted from games before because I refused to stop winning by E&E instead of playing 'America's Unreal TournArmy')... |
Welp, I qualified for both sniper rifles. Dave-A, You're way ahead of me in playing experience. Be glad to be on your team sometime.
Can we all agree to get together sometime and play as a unit? |
I'm up for some teamwork. My handle is [AR15]shock_n_awe. Fave maps are Bridge SE and Hospital. I also have a headset, and can install TS or whatever we decide to use.

Chief_Paul
I think I'm going to start another profile with [AR15] Paul Saw Redhorse, Coyote and Duffy last night on line and the 87 server (I think) playing Bridge SE. I'm a rookie and last night was my first night on-line ... loved it! We need to form a clan and get organized with some tactics. |
Remember you can change your name or add [AR15] tags at Americasarmy.com..Just log in.
Also you'll need to update you AAOtracker name info to keep track of your new name |
Yea, you don't need to start a new profile to change your name. You can change it at anytime.
How?? I poked around and couldn't find it. |
goto Americasarmy.com...
Goto Your Account on the top right... Click on Maintain account... Login your current login name and password Click on change profile Change User name there You Have to update you AAOtracker also Goto userCP Click on Tracker Control Panel Put your new name under ArmyOPS username See Ya!! I noticed you haven't joined AAOtracker.com yet.... you have to do that first aaotracker.4players.de/portal.php and join our clan! clan ID: 12120 password: colt |
Wow there is 18 of us in the AR15.com clan
We should take on other gun boards |
FYI to the newbies.
If you look in the Windows Start tab for American's Army game icons... it has a keyboard layout of all the keyboard commands. You can print it out for reference, until you get all the keys memorized. |
What mods have you guys made to your controls? Any?
One that I like is to change my iron sights/scope control to <right mouse button> And grenade control is <mouse wheel down> Switch fire mode (auto/burst/single) <mouse wheel up> |
Can't find it. BTW, what keys do I need to use to complete Airborne school? If I can't bend my knees and roll, I can't pass the test. |
If you used the default AA install location, the keyboard layout should be this folder:
C:\Program Files\America's Army\Help\AmericasArmyKeyboardLayout.bmp
I didn't bend my knees to pass. I'm not even sure that there are keys for that. I figured it was just talk. If there is a way to bend the knees, I don't know about it (maybe the X or C key?). I passed without doing it. I just landed in the white circle. I passed it on my 2nd jump. My 1st jump, I didn't steer forward to land inside the white circle. All I did were to use my 'A' [<-], 'S'[steer back], 'W' [steer forward], 'D' [->] to steer my parachute and flare my parachute before touching down. I think flaring your parachute was the 'E' key. |
Also you have to land exactly on the smoke...A little off won't do
I moved almost all the default keys over to the right by one key, so that I could have the "lean/roll right" and "lean/roll left" directly next to "move right" and "move left". I think by default they're ridiculously far away. Leaning around cover instead of moving around has saved my bacon a few times. On Hospital I like to play Ambush, but if you don't start sprinting right away you'll get spam naded. I set up a key to run the instant my player spawns so I don't have to double-tap the "forward" key after the weapon-charging animation. |
19 clan members.
Today at work (military) I mention that I was joining a clan ... not the clan! Airborne baby! |
Quoted:
What mods have you guys made to your controls? Any? [\quote] I have many voice, radio and hand signals bound to my number pad. I put all gun controls on the mouse, and have done a few others that I can't think of. When they come out with a new version to download, you can copy your user file with all of these binds to the new version. That way you don't have to reload it all. You know you ahve been playing too much when you IM someone or send an e-mail and type "Y" before the message! |
