This and Wild Turkey Rare Breed are good.

WT101 is good bourbon, especialy for the price.
However, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is a good bourbon at an even better price! |

WT101 is a great bourbon, and Rare Breed is world class. I just finished off a bottle of WT101 Rye, so I'm turkey-less at the moment. Might try to grab some Rare Breed Rye.

As much as I like high end Bourbon, there are some great cheap options. I think Evan Williams, Jim Beam, and Wild Turkey are all easy drinkers. And MUCH better than Jack Daniels, which was only good before I knew any better.

I had some gnarly wild turkey experiences as a youngin, so never got into it until I found limited selection on a vacation.
Discovered wt 101 made a damn tasty old fashioned..... |

For drinking neat or in the rocks, it’s the best bang for the buck out there.
If you’re mixing googol drinks or with soda, there’s neutral spirits that’ll do the trick in a palatable way and cheaper. |

View Quote There are a lot of mixed drinks that are centered around Bourbon and WT101 usually works really good for those. One of my favorite summer time drinks is WT101 mixed over ice with Topo Chico in a highball glass. And at $20 for 750ml there is no point in spending less unless your only goal is getting hammered. |

I picked up a bottle of it to take to my buddy’s place in Michigan, for a guy’s weekend hunting trip. It’s been a while since I’ve had it, but I’m going to buy another bottle. I was pleasantly surprised.

A bourbon and a rye. 101 is the best bourbon for the price. I prefer Kentucky spirit, as they are older and highlight the nuances of the rickhouses. |

I'm enjoying a plain old 81 proof Wild Turkey and it's quite good. Much better than the Woodford Reserve I had a few months ago.

Not going to argue with the WT101 being the contender for best value.
For those that are willing to take a little bit more cash and look in to things. 1792 Small batch is also a very good value. Full proof if you can find it is generally not to expensive and priced right in with Rare Breed. And My favorite. Old forester 1910. It is pushing $55-$60 a bottle but it is such a good bottle Punches above it's price point, I would say it hangs in with some of the $70-$100 choices. A new one I am really liking is Lucky 7 Holiday Toast. To put it mildly it is a fun sip and has a great combination of flavor, spice, toasted oak, and a little proof to wrap things up. At $75-$80 it is a bit pricy though. |

Rare Breed is my jam. It beats out Kentucky Spirit and Russell Reserve 10yo IMO. I have moderately expensive bottles that I don't reach for before Rare Breed. Haven't tried 101... yet.

Cowabunga it is...

WT101 Rye sure beats the RR 6Yr Rye.
