So you all are only producing 50 triggers a day? Well, they are called the Meticulously Built Trigger. But no, that's not all we make, that's the magical number we are shooting for to fill MBT back orders each day. MBTs go into rifles too, so we have to make additional units to cover that need. |

I like seeing that data. It looks like your triggers are held to tighter tolerances during manufacturing. Your samples are much closer in performance to one another than G's. I wonder if it has anything to do with the disparity in wear-n-tear on G's (i'm assuming older) machines vs. your (relatively new?) ones.
...Or is it fabrication methods, processes and materials? |

I never found them to be the best I still really like my RRA NM 2stage at $70 a pop for the coin I think the AR gold trigger is the best bang for the buck.

Good trigger, I like it. But it feels more like a bench shooting/competition type trigger than a "go to war" trigger. For the money, it's a real good deal for what you get. But I still favor Geissele more, but on the cheaper stuff, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Larue's trigger View Quote IMHO, this trigger was intended to compete with the SSA-E. I'm not sure how you'd classify one as a "go to war" trigger and one as a benchrest trigger. Care to explain? With the caveat that I have less than a half-hour of dry fire time behind an MBT-2S, I'll say that I prefer it to my SSA-E. The SSA-E feels about 8 ounces lighter on the second stage (and that may be due to having ~1500 rounds though the gun it's on and probably twice that many dry fires), but I like everything else better on the MBT - the trigger bow is fantastic, the takeup is smoother with zero detectable stacking, the break is markedly more crisp than my SSA-E (it's every bit is good as the break on a friend's AIAW) and the over travel is practically non-existent. I'm not sure I even have a criticism at this point - maybe it could be a half-pound lighter? And don't take any of the above as criticism of the SSA-E, either - it's been the best AR trigger I've ever used and I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Separating the two triggers overall is splitting hairs, but there definitely are perceptible differences. For the same money I'd buy another MBT-2S. For $125? I'm putting the fuckers on all the rifles that would benefit from that type trigger. View Quote I posted this in the other thread but it seems it would fit equally as well here. And before anyone goes accusing me of being a LaRue fanboi or whatever new douchey term is being used, this trigger is going into an LMT lower with a KAC LPR upper. |

I haven't tested it with the trigger gauge to get hard numbers. For $69 it's pretty good. |

P.T. Barnum was right. I read another post of yours where you imply you were employed by G up until 2014. You an angry ex employee? In my opinion there isn't much difference in price for an SSA or MBT. Mark is smart to offer the MBT at 125 for those who will wait. He needs to cut the price to get into the market. Sure his fangroup will buy whatever he makes but he probably wants more of the market share than that. Why do you suppose he started jumping into all the G threads with his "Trigger war" nonsense? Why would G lower thier price if the products are still selling? Makes no business sense at all. They have plenty of sales if you wait. I do think Mark is on to something with his MBT though. The repeatability on his graph in another thread appears impressive. However, he's no independent test group so I read his results with skepticism. Because again, he's trying to get into the market. But like I said the graph was impressive. Competition is great for the end users. If Mark starts taking a huge chunk of the market G will need to step up thier game. So, the end users win. |

Pure speculation, but I'm sure that was why some major dealers were selling Geissele gear for 15-30% off for three months. Sales were getting low, so he offered incentives to dealers to stock up at a lower cost. He had his own sale, which I'm sure he didn't undercut dealer pricing on. |
