Quoted: Except there were so many wrong things that he did. Stole a gun ("Don't take things that aren't yours"). Trespassed ("Don't go into other people's places.") Murder ("Don't hurt people.") These are all things they teach kids in kindergarten. I imagine there's a possibility the adults in his life didn't teach him any of those things, though I really doubt it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Going against the grain, maybe... But as someone who's got kids around that age, this kid may have had no idea what he was really doing. At that age, many kids probably can't grasp murder or death at all, and would only see the gun as a cool toy. This is at least as much of a parenting issue (locking up the gun, teaching basic safety things, etc.) as anything else. Regardless, if the kid wasn't already broken, he is now. |

Quoted: But he won’t be, even if he received a psychiatric ward hold until 18, he’s out running free. That’s why I don’t have any sympathy for such individuals and believe they should be executed, because they won’t be fixed, or controlled, or properly locked up, some bleeding heart will give them some freedom and they will kill again, possibly kill a lot of people. My fix is a permanent solution that protects society from them permanently. "He needs to be prayed on. He needs to be comforted ... He’s forgiven. And he can still be saved. He’s so young. He’s definitely tormented by something," Kenneth Rasberry told KSAT. His son had worked at Holmes Foods in Nixon for about three months prior to his death. Uh nope. He can't. Sociopath at age 8, hes done. But good luck to his future victims families. |

In Texas:
Always be are. Never pull into driveways. Always lock your doors before taking a nap. Poor kid. |

He took a gun, snuck into someone else’s place, a strangers house, and while that person was sleeping shot him in the head. It doesn’t matter if he “knew what he was doing” and god help the world if you could even try and begin to explain away behavior like that because of your kid. That kid should just be put down, return to sender, better luck next time. |

Maybe he was playing "Army Guy", who the fuck knows. It's a seven year old. |

JFC that's such a terrifying thought. Give him the needle. He is broken beyond repair and keeping him in a cage for the rest of his life because he can't be trusted in society is inhumane.

Quoted: Going against the grain, maybe... But as someone who's got kids around that age, this kid may have had no idea what he was really doing. View Quote I remember going to car lots after they were closed and my (then) 4 year old son telling me we shouldn't be there when they were closed. My point, my 4 year old had a clearly defined sense of right/wrong independent of what I taught him. I told him there was nothing wrong with looking at cars on a lot if the lot was open, lights are on, music playing etc. He vehemently insisted we shouldn't be there if they were closed and he didnt want me/us to go to jail. If a 4 year old knows these things an 8 year old definitely knows it's not ok to break in someone else's car, take their gun, break in someone else's home, shoot them in the head and kill them.... Etc.... Kid is defective, look at the flowers.... |

I don't think he should be put down
I think we should have places to send people who are A. Not traditionally guilty or haven't offended yet and B. Need to be removed from society We used to have more "looney bins" but the way people (alot of which had never hurt anyone) were treated in them was an absolute disgrace we need to do it better |

Age of accountability in Texas is 10
There is literally nothing criminally that can be done beyond civilly suing his parents |

I wonder if there is any level of government involvement in this kids life, or his family's lives, that could have prevented this murder, that GD would have approved of at the time.
I'm guessing not. Also - almost every state has similar laws pertaining to age of accountability. |
