I can't believe you found a sucker who wanted a bushmaster that bad but good on you for doing it.

I know nothing about them. Saw pics of it online and saw that most parts appeared to be SA. I take it I didn't take a bath on this one? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Nice looking rifle. If you have regrets, I'm sure I can dig up a Bushmaster to trade you!!
Nice rifle, not a collector piece, but worth more than what you traded. You did good! Go shoot it!! |

Can't disagree: They're still making Bushies but not Garands.

You can get AR15s all day long.
M1s on the other hand, are a dieing breed. Hell yeah it was a good trade. And Bushmaster is.... meh. |

Earlier pre 08 Bushys were great rifles. Since then, meh. I have seen more BS issues with late model Bushys. If it was a late model rifle you did great, if an earlier rifle you did well Garands are always a good score though. View Quote My experience as well. My 90s era Bushmasters have been fine. |

You did OK value-wise but I would have done it only to leverage my way into something I could flip for a little more than the Bushy. As far as owning either rifle for a shooter/HD weapon; the Bushy would have been a keeper. Sorry, no love for Garands. They're interesting antiques but that's it in my opinion.

Firing the M1 Garand simultaneously gives you a 5 O'clock shadow, and lowers your voice 2 octaves. Women swoon over the size and amount of your wood. Lesser men fear your ping.

I think you did good, and I think you came out better than the other guy did.

There was a really nice poem about the M1 that was written. For the life of me, I cannot find it.
But it talks about the M1 being used to stop oppression, while the AK has been using for bank heists and mass executions of civilians, ect ect. Someone know what I am talking about? |
|

Way ahead of that. Already have one ;)
But two is one, and one is none |
|
Definitely an upgrade.

I would have done that if I had more than one AR to trade.
I only have one AR though so no, even though I would probably second guess myself about it later. Patrick |

I don't get the Garand obsession. If it can't hold 1MOA, it belongs in the trashcan along with the ak junk.

Wow...whatever you're smoking, I want some. 13-ers - Not that I'm much better. No plans to sell this. Ever. I fell in love with it the moment I saw the ad and knew as soon as I saw it I absolutely had to have it I don't have ANYTHING in .30 cal - I'm really excited to shoot it for the first time. |

I would have considered it but I like my Bushy ORC. It got me started into this mad craze.

In my hands, an average garand shoots a 30% smaller group than an average AR on the same day, both with milspec ammo. Plus, I don't have to shoot shit 2 or 3 times with a Garand to fuck something up like I do with an AR. |

Garands are a functioning, (relatively) modern weapon. Values on Garands will only go up. I doubt that will happen with the Bushy. That was a damn good trade. |

Was the Bushmaster purple?
Was the front site canted off-center? If it was then you had a "real" Bushmaster. Hopefully you don't have a "new" Springfield Armory Garand. |

View Quote You did very well. Do a little research on the care and feeding of the M1, and enjoy. |

Good trade in my opinion..................and "PING" is correct!!!

every American gun owner NEEDS a Garand, you did good
now, if you no longer have an AR, you do need to rectify that as well |
