I don't leave my firearm stored and cocked...and I haven't figured out how to drop the hammer on my AR and then engage the safety. Can you explain it to me, Safety Nazi?

You do know if the firing pin is dropped it won't go on safe? Eta i know how springs work and i drop the pin anyway. Also science boss don't tell you that springs don't wear being statically depressed. That more materials. |

If a person stores an unloaded firearm with the hammer dropped and on fire, it is NOT A BIT less safe than an unloaded firearm stored with the hammer cocked and the safety on.
