I'm not a horror/psychological thriller movie type, but this looks like it could be decent. Sean Patrick Flanery is one of the main actors.

that looks good
we watched Smile at our sibling movie night recently....was pretty good as well i thought. |

Steve Deace is the guy responsible for the movie. He's on the Blaze from noon to two every weekday. He's awesome and I highly recommend his show.

Looks good.
Also a tag hoping someone bumps this thread closer to it's release as a reminder. May actually visit a theater. |

As a believer in Christ I'm not interested in watching something that glorifies demons.
As a movie aficionado it looks "meh" at best. |

Movie looks interesting.
This thread is going to have potential I have a feeling. |

I doubt it's going to glorify demons, just as C.S. Lewis didn't glorify demons with his Screwtape Letters. |

I plan on seeing this movie. Not sure if I'll get to a theater, hopefully it is released for home.

Steve Deace is probably the most underrated voice in talk radio right now in my opinion.
The dude just straight up says (on a daily basis) what everyone is thinking but is too afraid to say aloud. |

View Quote +1 I never really gave Steve Deace much of a chance until the 2020 election. Since then, I have his show on pretty much every day at noon. |

Sort of more interested in seeing this after the interviews with Sean Patrick Flannery on Beck and Deace today.
|
|
Looks like it will be at the big Cinemark right up the road from me on the 13th and beyond.

Only one theater has it around here as far as I can tell, and it's kind of far. I'll probably have to check it out when it's available by streaming.

Some interesting events surrounding this movie. Sounds a lot like the production hell of the "Exorsist".
https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2023/04/13/when-the-devil-is-pissed-at-your-movie/ The movie releases today! I have to wait about a week to see it. If you go, let us know what you think, minus spoilers of course. |

Hey OP, can you edit the title to say post your reviews here as well. With a reminder to use the spoiler feature?
Might as well keep this all in one place. @thunderw21 |

That does look like it might be worth checking out.
That new Russel Crowe movie, The Pope's Exorcist, looks like it might have potential as well. |

It's about what I expected. It's a B movie that was entertaining because of the narrative and SPF's acting.
That's what I thought a few hours ago and I still think that. But I thought I'd probably never watch it again. Once is enough. Now? I don't know Seems to be hauntingly sticking around my thoughts. It's a really good narrative. |
|
It reminds me of Fallen. I'll probably give that one a watch when it is available on a streaming service.
? Time is on my side... ? ? ...yes it is. ? |

It looks like lurid rubbish to me. If you are interested in the experiences of Father Gabriele Amorth you could just read his book(s). Most people won't find them dramatically satisfying, though--because Exorcisms aren't about the astonishing and cinematic "power" of demons, they are about being liberated from the darkness of sin, and standing in the light of God's love. An Exorcist Tells His Story by Father Gabriele Amorth... I haven't read this one--but someone might be interested. My Battle Against Satan by Father Gabriele Amporth... I find it curious that so many people are fascinated by depictions of the demonic, yet so few have the faintest interest in any depiction of actual holiness. |
