That sucks. I'm sorry to see him go. He was a couragous guy for what he went through. Rest in peace Superman.

Knowing his support for Democrats, it was probably a heart attack over the latest Kerry polls.
People that are injured in such a fashion usually dont live too long. They have a lot of medical complications that can be very fatal. I wouldnt doubt an infection or blood clot.
On a side note, its interesting that if he was poor he would never have had the ability to buy a horse. And would have been alive today. Same thing with Payne Stewart. If sucked at golf he would have been an average guy and no crash in a Lear jet. So, money is evil, everyone send me all your money! |
Well he is in a better place now and not stuck to that respirator and fucking wheelchair.
Wow, I have an autographed pic he signed for me to me.....that sucks.
link? lets see if this is another Drudge post before confirming sources

That is sad, although, I believe, he put the benefits of stem cell research to himself over the lives contained in the stem cells. He was courageous and fought with all that he was. He was actually able to stand for a limited amount of time and go off of life support for 2 hours.

I would have done that if I was in that situation |

Bummer, poor guy. Maybe it's for the best. His condition was no way to live.
um are you serious?????? I dont see this anywhere except here
I wouldn't want to live like that .......I guess he is a better place now
I never really was a fan, but it sucked he had to go through what he did |
I knew kerry calling him a friend the other night was an insult.........but damn
+1 nothing on Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC... |

Friend of mine was shot with a 22 and paralyzed. took him a year and a half to die. |
I bear no ill will toward Reeve. We was dealt a bum hand that nobody deserves to endure.
RIP. |
If it's posted on ARFCOM it is obviously the written word of God... DUH!
Fixed it for ya. I am willing to chip in a carton of Lucky Strikes for her. |
Ditto. |
He was a good guy and didnt deserve what happened to him. I was born in '72 so he was like the real deal "Superman." He also got it on with Jane Seymour too.
Dude, I'd keep an eye on you if you got a hangnail. |

Rodney Dangerfield and Christopher Reeve, I wonder who will be #3. R.I.P Superman now you can really fly.
I didnt manage to kill myself today, but I sure was wishing I had something to knock myself out for a few hours. I really hate having food poisoning. |

... that's odd, I could have sworn I heard he was making some unprecedented strides in getting some mobility back. Stuff that was nearly impossible to do after trauma similarly to his.
... RIP Superman |
Got some heartless bastards on here, LOL
I'm conflicted myself. He was fucked up pretty bad, but I hate horses and you have to know riding them that way that they do stupid shit that could kill you. As far as being paralyzed, I would rather be dead myself. That is not a life, being a quad. He was a liberal as well, so I'm not skipping a beat in my step over this news. |
Anyone actually confirm this yet? I can't find it anywhere else but here.
like I said this is porbally another of of those times when drudge posts an unconfirmed story |
Really??? He does that??? The hell you say... |
Taxman, cause of death is given as an infection.
In an earlier interview, Reeve said he had had three infections earlier this year. |
Damn, I used to tell a bunch of christopher reeves jokes. Guess they can no longer be said
Drudge said they won't make a public announcement until Monday at the earliest...clever way to milk the story longer...don't you think that the big 3 would know as well??? |
You would think someone heard the call for the coroner |
