I read more than I post here but I thought you might find this interesting, sad day.
2019 Dodge Ram, someone didn't stop at a highway intersection and I hit them. I walked away. I pretty much owe my life to the safety features of this truck. Images are pretty large so I linked them to my drive. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zvsuY-qK5XOHq28MmzdE-MbtX4CPfmG3 |

How the heck do you have a wreck when you can see for miles in any direction?
Was the other guy on his phone or having a medical episode? |
Holy crap are you a lucky guy. How about the other vehicle occupants? Good thing you were in a truck, a car might have been a different story for you. Ram has made great strides in designing the truck front frames to crush to absorb impact, which it appears yours did.
Did the sunroof collapse down on you? We have one in our Grand Cherokee and I worry about the glass coming in on us in an accident. Wouldn't have got a sunroof normally but it was on the lot and had everything else we wanted so we bought it. |
Damn, bro! Glad you're still around to make this post. That's pretty bad.
Glad you're okay - truck is easily replaceable.
Was the other driver drunk? It looks like you can see in all directions. |
Ouch, your Ram certainly saved your life. Glad you walked away to tell the story.
Holy shite. Glad you are ok.
It almost looks like your truck was on its side at some point. EDIT: Doh! I have just realized that was your truck rolled over. |

You need to meet with a doctor.
You might feel okay now, but a hit like that can cause problems that aren’t immediately apparent. Glad to see you’re doing well enough to screw around on Arfcom and be positive about it, though. |

Damn, glad you are okay. Let us know if you ever hear what was wrong with the other driver (drunk, medical episode, etc.).

Quoted: That's surprising. The cab structure of the other truck seems to have held up well. I'm wondering if he wasn't wearing a seat belt or if there was a head injury. I hope you’re not feeling guilt. He caused the accident, and he didn’t take the most basic of steps to ensure his own safety. He paid the price for his own actions. |

Dang, son.
Sad to hear the other guy didn't make it. Why people still insist on not wearing a seatbelt will always escape me. Did he die on scene, or later at the hospital? And yeah, that truck saved your life. |

My dad has an awesome set of tools....
Glad you're okay. EDIT... Just read about other driver. Sorry to hear about that. Not your fault. |
Glad you're still with us man.
Modern vehicles really are amazing. |
Wow, and you walked away even. Better check your head and neck back JIC.
Damn. that's a good crunch. Glad you are OK OP. Life is fleeting.
Good lord, that was a hell of a hit!
I'm in the very early stages of truck shopping. This thread is going to put a tick in the Ram's column for sure.... |
