Took the kids to Tweetsie Railroad last week (Old West style amusement park, Steam locomotive, protected by Cowboys and attacked by Indians) and the Sheriff was Black. I started to say, "The Sherrif is a N...." and the wife slapped me... Couldn't understand why I was laughing so hard.

I acted with the guy who played the KKK member that had "Have a nice day" on his back.
Darrell Sandeen. Really good guy. Most of you will know him from LA Confidential. My favorite film of his was They Call Me Bruce? |

You could not remake that movie today without it being entirely different. Even though the gag was that the white people were complete idiots, just the language alone would be enough to send liberals and professional victims foaming at the mouth.
America lost the ability to laugh at its differences and ignore idiots, white, black, brown, yellow, purple, or otherwise. Quoted:
It would be funny to see the reactions to that movie being made today. I'm not calling for a remake, mind you. They've shat on enough of the classics already. Just think about all the PC liberal heads exploding. Worth it. View Quote |

The closest thing we have now a days is "A million ways to die in the west". View Quote "A million ways to die in the west" was an absolute waste of the 45 minutes I sat there and tried to find something funny. Now, "Blazing Saddles" will be watched over and over again, with me laughing as hard as ever. |
