I am not a dandy.
I can comfortably wear flannel 10 months out of the year, so I generally do. |

As a Founding Father of The Catalina Wine Mixer Boys; I own several.

That is pretty gay. But next level gay would be to shave your chest.

I actually do ride a GS scooter with my hair cut neat. Kind of scraggly now.

Nope. I'm not in those circles.
A couple tweed sportcoats, that's about it. |

Didn’t buy the other type at Sears. |

Not an appropriate suit for where I live.
I do, however own a double-breasted suit that I had hand tailored in Kabul. |
|
|
No, but apparently I need to get one.
What is considered to be appropriate footwear with such a suit? Would oxfords be gauche? |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seersucker
Seersucker or railroad stripe is a thin, puckered, usually cotton fabric, commonly but not necessarily striped or chequered, used to make clothing for hot weather. The word originates from the Persian words ??? shîr and ??? shakar, literally meaning "milk and sugar", from the gritty texture ("sugar") on the otherwise smooth ("milk") cloth.[1] Seersucker is woven in such a way that some threads bunch together, giving the fabric a wrinkled or puckered appearance. This effect is often achieved during weaving by warp threads for the puckered bands being fed at a greater rate than the warp threads of the smooth stripes. (These are often of different colors but do not need to be.) The unevenness causes the fabric to be mostly held away from the skin rather than being plastered on it when wet with sweat, facilitating heat dissipation and air circulation. It also means that ironing is not necessary. Common items made from seersucker include suits, shorts, shirts, dresses, and robes. In the United States, it is often made in white and blue stripes; however, it is produced in a wide variety of colors, usually with narrow plain and puckered stripes in different colors. I do not own any, although I have shirts with the blue/white pattern. |

I'm retired.
I don't own ANY suits - actually even when I was working, I only owned one suit (which a rarely ever wore). |
|
No, but I think I have an old smoking jacket somewhere.
Cool suit, OP. |
|
Very good. I will reserve judgement for when you post the belt and the shoes worn with said badass milk and sugar suit.

Yes.
Both a suit and a separate sport coat. The question is do you rock a bow tie with it? |
|
