Flip over the chuck wagon Cookie, the injuns have us surrounded!
|
|
i would carry a short barrel scofield if it were in .357 magnum instead of .38 I still want to buy one....
|
|
Are you allowed to have a pistol with more than six rounds in NY? .44 wouldn't be the worst idea.

As amazing as those are, they are not carry guns in 99% of places.

That reminds me that I need a SAA to fill the holster I bought a decade ago...

nice article, and a good way to get some one hurt.. those revolvers are not made with SAAMI in mind.

Take out the wagon burners and gut eaters once and for all, huh?

Wouldn't be my first choice, but a modern loaded 45 Colt with a HP will do very well, ballistics wise.

i petition that we no longer refer to them as a "revolver" and henceforth say "revolvy".
That'll show those shotty assholes. |

I've always thought a quality 16" .357 lever gun would make a pretty decent HD/Truck gun. Optimal? No.
Of course, you'll get killt in the streets even harder than with a 12 gauge I'm sure. |
|
But a modern version of a 1911 is the pinnacle of defensive handguns.

To paraphrase some wisdom I saw posted by a GDenius the other day, once you see that big hole you'll change your mind.
Gay or ballistically retarded? Both. |

I used to be pretty fast on a shot timer with my Sig and a 1911 but I've seen some really fast shooters with SAAs. Just because most of them are shooting weak, gaming loads doesn't mean they couldn't shoot regular loads quickly. There are still a ton of people who carry five shot snubbies and pocket guns like .25, .32 and .380s as well. None of them would be my first choice but they have their place. I would not feel too bad with a decent SAA in most non-urban areas

I've seen a handful of guys around here that open carry revolvers, usually with accompanying modern cowboy garb.

Ayup, they are awesome and I love mine, but the G17 or G19 get the nod for defense.
Neverless, the ole 454 five gun, gets the nod when hunting or scouting in the forest. Attached File |

Carrying a Single Action Army as a concealed weapon? That's about the dumbest thing I've heard today.
I carry an Atlatl with some throwing stars in reserve and I have yet to walk into a fight where I felt out gunned. |
