This guy supposedly bought the last of the leftover Bren Ten parts from some shop and proceeded to do this to them. His description :
I purchased the parts store from Costa Mesa all the original parts frames slides this is a completely original Bren X to the last screw, Because of Bren X QC issues every gun (see my additional auctions) has been completely stripped, checked and precision fitted to insure perfection and is covered by our one year limited warranty. Additional magazines are available at an additional price This gun is identical to the TV guns and may be one. Includes certificate of authenticity regarding my adventure purchasing the parts factory, statement from gunmaker Jay and photos and a FFL chain of custody showing the history of this frame (gun). These are the last all new factory new Bren X Guns in the world there will never be any more as there are no more original frames View Quote If you're familiar with original Bren Ten you know it came with a stainless frame and blue slide. He kind of got that backwards. Nice finish on the frame btw. This one looks like he tried to replicate the Miami Vice Bren with the all chrome finish by rattle canning the frame grey. And it looks like he simply polished the slide to make it shiny. Looks like another rattle can job. What the hell did he do to slide? Some kind of relief cut? And he made one a race gun. Holy WTF? The paint/finish you can fix.
But based on the fact it looks like he butchered that simple task I’d be worried what the internals looks like. Sure as fuck wouldn’t pay that price. |

Kind of like watching the Mona Lisa get gang raped by graffiti "artist."

One of the baddest ass guns ever, why someone hasn't made new ones and brought them to market I'll never know, Vltor attempted but backed out.

That's like the real world version of someone ruining some unique LOTR sword with an amazing history. Sad.

In the early 90's I owned 2 Bren Tens. Neither looked like those. Craig

I especially like the part where he says:

It’s depressing that their guns would meet such a tragic fate. View Quote |

Holy crap what a hot mess. Kind of like taking a 60's Ferrari and installing a LS in it.

BTW I sent him a PM through Gunbroker and asked if he had any magazines for sale. He never responded.

Tim LaFrance got alot of the remaining parts from D&D when they went under. He recently sold off what he had left. Pretty sure this is the idiot that bought them from him.

I PM’d if he had any frames, slides, and parts left so he can just send them to me and I’ll assemble the fucking gun myself and send it off to a professional for finishing.
Deal’s off if he did any machine work on them. |

Those guns are D&D parts guns that are all junk. Ill wager not even heat treated. That is some dangerous shit, and should NEVER be shot.

Still better than VLTOR’s offerings, because THEY DON’T FUCKING HAVE ANY!!! Seriously, fuck you, VLTOR, with a bale of rusty barbwire.

All of the Bren frames had that logo, every one of them, whether they passed QC or not. When they went bankrupt, station wagon loads of parts were removed, mostly junk.... 1400 guns were actually made. This includes SMs, MSMs and SFL/ SFD. Those are parts guns, and are junk. There are proper guns out there, and they should be magnafluxed and x rayed for casting flaws. Both of mine are safe to shoot, but they are safe queens, and never see the light of day. View Quote |

I'd own one in a heartbeat, but I prefer .45ACP. Luckily, they have those, too. I actually prefer them over the CZ 97, which although well made, is a handful.
BTW: MSRP for the 10mm is the same for the 9mm, .40S&W, and the .45ACP. |
