Well?

Quoted: Well? View Quote Seriously though I gotta ask, what did loctite or Henkle do? All I know about Loctite is, they make (defacto Standard adhesives, and threadlockers), Henkle, I thought was maybe a parent company, who maybe owned other similar companies, OR maybe they just sell various brand adhesives. Aside from when was googling for which Loctite to use with HP airlines and coming across Henkle, I've never heard of them. |

View Quote Aside from the fact that Richard Kuhn & Konrad Henkel researched/invented/produced nerve gases (namely GB, Soman) during WWII and then after the war Konrad and his father, Hugo Henkel (who literally looks like a cookie-cutter caricature of from a Steven Spielberg film), were both arrested for war crimes? But they were obviously rich enough to grease the right palms because they were given their company back free and clear like two years later after successfully graduating from "reeducation camp". Seriously though, I really couldn't care less what they or really anyone else were doing half a century before I was born. |

I don't know.
But some company sells thread locker similar to lock-tite, except the removable blue locker is in a red tube and the red permanent is in a blue tube. I could kick the guy who decided that in the nuts. |

The problem with Henkel Loktite products is the huge selection for specialty applications and the need to pay attention to what you're buying.
An example from MOP; bearing retention compound is not thread locker. Do not use on threaded joints unless you're prepared for an expensive salvage and repair. |

If I made all purchasing decisions based on politics & culture I’d be living in a dirt hut with handmade hemp clothing.

I hate foreign cars, communists, and the New York Rangers. Loctite is a necessary commodity for me. I do not hate Loctite.

It's the hate that warms Arfcom during the long winter night. Let the hate flow through.

Brings back memories of fixing equipment in the food plant. Had five industrial bread ovens. Anytime you worked inside of them you had to use neversieze on the fasteners. We had it in gallon pails. That shit spread to everything you touched. Took a while to clean your tools at the end of the job. The guy we worked for was an asshole, so his office door knob always got random smears on the bottom. |

View Quote THIS, as a former industrial user of Loctite products I do agree that having every product in a red bottle or tube is annoying and having to "read" the bottles to find the right "number" of Loctite. |

The best one though was when someone painted the black toilet seat in the management only shithouse with dykem hi-spot. |
