TriStar T120 (a rebranded Canik Shark which was Turkey's take on a Jericho 941 with an aluminum frame)
Still got it and still very enjoyable to shoot |
First gun I ever bought was a Davis .380 POS that cut my hand everytime it cycled. I got rid of it thank God and started buying reliable firearms that didn't injure the shooter
Yes. A Marlin 15Y Little Buckaroo .22. 40 years later, it still makes it to the range on occasion.
My first pistol but not my first gun which was a marlin model 60.
Yes and no. First handgun was a S&W 22 Target model. Rear sight keep falling off so they swapped it out for a longer barreled version.
Yes. Mosin Nagant 91/30. Haven’t shot it in years, but never getting rid of it.

Ruger 32 H&R Magnum single six
Yep, still have it… Others, I wish I still had |
Absolutely! I don't sell guns. Cheap ass Taurus 22lr. and the barrel pops up. Not even sure what its called.
I went and shot it, and although I loved it as my first and only gun, I also said I wanted something bigger for self defense. So I bought a 2" snub nose 357...lol....I was learning the hard way I guess! |
Yeah, it was a Heritage .22 single action revolver. I wore it out in a couple of years. To be fair I shot it a lot. Probably 500 rounds every time I went out.

The first gun I was given as a kid was a single shot .410. It was a little big for me at the time, so I hunted squirrels with my Uncle's .410 which had a shorter stock. By the time I grew into mine, I was given a 20 gauge Remington 870. Both are still in my safe.
The first gun I bought for myself was an HK USP Compact in .45. Still have that one too. |
Yep. Remington 870 and Walther P22 and XD45 service. Bought them all within 2 weeks.
No. Single shot Mossberg .22LR rifle. Think my parents sold it when I was in VN.
I bought a Erma .22 "Luger" when I got back because it looked cool. Never worked well, finally sold it to a Luger collector. Don't miss it. I do still have a Mossberg 500 that I bought right after the Erma. |
Yep. Ruger Single Six I got for Christmas as a kid. Even still have the box. I will never, ever part with it.
First gun I bought myself was a Beretta 92. It’s loaded and in a drawer two feet away from me right now. I’ve actually only ever sold two guns. |
A Steven’s 410 single shot that my father bought at a pawnshop 48 years ago and I still have it and my son shot it as his first gun also
Got my 1st gun in the 60s as a Christmas gift. I still have that one and every single gun since.
No.
Winchester 190 semiauto. 22. Left it with my girlfriend when I went overseas. Never saw either one of them again. Sometimes I miss that rifle. |

Yes, 1955 Remington Scoremaster Model 511 bolt action, 22 short, long, long rifle, with 4x Weaver scope
Nope. Was a cheap, broken .22 pump rifle I traded at a pawnshop at 16 for a HK Citation 17S pre amp.
Would do it again and again if i could. |
My very first firearm I bought with my own money was a US&S 1911A1 in 1962. I was 12 and had no idea that it was valuable.
I spent every cent I had on the gun and couldn't afford ammunition, but the guy at the store gave me seven rounds and let me go in the back and fire them. Put a lot of rounds through that gun, and eventually had to sell it to pay bills. |
Yes. Westernfield 22 rifle from Western Auto for Christmas in 1970.
Yup, a P89 I bought new in '92 with 2 15 round mags.
10,000+ rounds and never an issue. I have every gun I ever bought except 1, my daughter got it for her 21st birthday. My son will get one when he turns 21. |
Yes to both my first gun I received and the first one I purchased.
But still regret selling my CZ550 FS in 308 |
Of course. It's a Mossberg 183K that I received for Christmas as an eight year old boy.
With my first real paycheck I bought my dad’s 10/22 that he bought in Japan in 1964.
$75 bucks. |
No
But I do own my grandfathers Marlin 39 from the 20s which is one of the first guns I ever shot. |
No and I wish I'd kept it. It was a blued 5 1/2 inch Ruger Redhawk. I still miss that one and the S&W 4506 I traded away too.
