i could go into more detail, like explaining how many sites do not use the common dns root suffixes or aren't listed in DNS at all. i could explain how they aren't listed in any "pop" search engines.
i could explain a lot of things but i kept it simple.
yes, most of the sites on the so called "deep web" are hosted off a 10 year old optiplex in someone's mom's basement or 20 year old servers in a Lithuanian data center or whatever. most have completely poor security design as well.
but rest assured at least some of them are legit.
there are thousands of hitman running around the US at any given moment. what makes you think some of them don't know how to use the internet?
