I’m making a prime rib, creamed spinach & mash potatoes. Banana splits for dessert.
After we will drive down to the local cemetery to lay flowers on the resting place of the fallen. Some go back to the civil war. |

Got ribs for the kamado. Probably go get some good (lol) hotdogs too.

I cooked T Bones I forgot I had. Perfect sois vide medium rare with a nice sear.
Tasted funky as hell. The fat was also yellow, not sure if that's a clue. Still unsure if weird cow, freezer burned, or just an odd grass fed taste. |

Chicken wings, Halibut, Salmon and some shrimp kabobs. I haven't grilled in years so not sure how things will turn out. Looking to have some fun with it though.

2" thick tomahawk (sous vide, then seared fast on the grill,) the baked beans Mom gave me when I visited her today, and an ear of corn.

Carolina (Eastern!) pork butt and some chunky Texas beef ribs for the wife smoked low and slow of course. My only regret is I don't have any Gary's (China Grove) bbq sauce left. Guess I''ll wing and make my own.

My fridge is on the full side, so I'm eating leftovers all weekend. Just ate the last of the burgers I cooked on my Blackstone a few days ago. Tomorrow is linguini bolognese.

Made bacon that I home cured this morning. Then I made smoked cream cheese and some smoked eggs for the week. Then I reverse seared a ribeye (missus is out of town) and then cooked that and some moon mix on the griddle. Since the traeger was already rolling I added the pork butt for tomorrow. Now I mix a drink and enjoy the evening. Oh I am making Jerky in the garage right now. Pics to come @whiskersthecat Attached File

Nothing earth shattering….
Marinated flank steak with baked potatoes and a tossed salad (giggity) Friday I dropped Mrs chipling off at the airport early saturday morning, so Saturday night was one beer too many, leftover flank steak, salad, and some brown rice and quinoa, with tiramisu for desert. Tonight was homemade German potato salad, grilled brats, a can of baked beans, and a store bought pina colada cake for desert. Tomorrow is up in the air. Probably a rib eye, sides are TBD |
