The receiver model you ask about is NDS-9. The last production run of NDS-9's was done before we became aware of the M72 kits being offered to the market. Because the NDS-9 receiver has always a relatively low demand model, production run quantities have always been rather small. Because of this, the last production run of NDS-9 receivers sold out quite quickly.
A production run of NDS-9 receivers is done in conjunction with the making of similar receivers such as the NDS-4, NDS-5, and NDS-7. Right now we have a good quantity on hand of NDS-5 receivers. As a result we have not yet set up a production schedule for more of this group of thicker material receivers.
We are compiling a list of those who want to be notified about the next production run of NDS-9 receivers. Such a request for notification is sent by email to us at
[email protected]. Gathering such a list is helpful for us to determine how many NDS-9 receivers to make.
The NDS-5 receiver can be used in the assembly of the M72 kits. The one difference between the NDS-5 receiver and the NDS-9 receiver is the NDS-5 receiver having the two holes in the upper rear section of the receiver for the top cover locking pin assembly. The M72 rear trunnion does not have a matching hole to allow for installation of this locking pin assembly. Having the two holes in the NDS-5 receiver has no functional effect on the assembled rifle. The holes can be welded up, left as is, or the M72 rear trunnion can be drilled for the locking pin assembly. The locking pin assembly can be sourced from
CNC Warrior.
