Picked up my first Colt a couple weeks ago. I have been into AR-15s since 1998, Started with a Bushmaster. I have Windham Weaponrys, Smith and Wessons and PSAs in my collection, but never had a Colt. So I added a Colt AR5951 to the collection. I always wanted a 9mm carbine, plus it being a Colt it adds some diversity to the collection. It came with a Mag-pul flip up rear sight. But thought it looked better with the carry handle.

Carry handles are the natural order of the Universe.
A/M-4s and A-2s are better than nothing but A-1s rock. Now if he AR 308 class manufacturers would just....... |

It only came with one magazine. So I had to get more. Palmetto State Armory had some of the Harrington and Richardson 32 round magazine. So I ordered a few and they had a nice finish and worked flawlessly.

Gun will be fun ! Interesting mag purchase… I’ve had a 6450 for 20 yrs and have never heard of a H & R 9mm carbine mag. Or even read in this forum. Metalform has made 9mm SMG mags for Colt since day one. Hope those mags treat you right! Keep us informed

H&R started making a retro line of rifles/carbines. Recently they started making parts for their 9mm carbine including magazines. |

Nice. I handled one at a local gunshop maybe 10 years ago, saved my pennies for for several months then went back to purchase it and it was gone. Dealer said they only make them in batches, took my contact information and said he would contact me when he got another one in.
Still don't have one. |

Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way!

Can't never could 'til try came along.

I have a 6991 and a 6951. I love them. Both have carry handle as well. Congrats.

They seem to show up every once in awhile. Just happened to show up in their emails. |
