Many of you may have been reading the the thread about the shipping delays associated with orders from RRA's. The link to the thead is below:
LinkAfter all of this, My dealer called me on Monday to tell me it arrived. I picked it up. Looks great.
Now the kicker. Now this my dealer's account of what occurred, and I have no doubts in its validity, as this guy has been a friend for many years. He is the most humble and polite man I know. I doubt he has ever raised his voice in his life. Plus, he wrote down everything that occurred including names and times and answers to his questions just to make sure he could give me a correct account of what the status of the order was as he has done all along.
My dealer called them on Thursday of last week to check on the status of my order. BJ was the salesperson's name of which he spoke to. He was told at that time that it would now be 10-12 months from the time of the order (This is also what they have been telling others who have posted here). My dealer tried to get clarification as to the reasons. BJ proceeded to pass the buck to the Democrats and the increased demand. He also mentioned that other manufacturers are running into the same delays. No straight forward answers as we have previously discussed on here.
He was not satisfied with the answers he was given, and ask to speak with a supervisor. BJ told him that he could, but he would be told the same thing by them. He told BJ that he was not answering the questions to his satisfaction, and he would indeed like to speak to someone else to get clarification.
Now the funny part. BJ thought he put the call on hold in order to transfer it to the supervisor, but in fact he did not. My dealer stated that he heard some talking on the line, and then heard the term
'D*ck-Head' used by BJ in regard to the call. Then the line went dead.
BJ called him right back and appologized for the disconnect, and that he was getting DeAnne (???spelling). My dealer told him that he would really like to speak with her since he wanted to know if it was standard practice to call customers off color names. BJ stated that he was calling Matt at the desk next to him that name, and wasn't referring to the dealer with that term. It doesn't matter who he was referring to at this point as he had used the term and now admitted that he used the term.
DeAnne got on the phone, and was very helpful. She pulled the order up and appologized for the incident, and would overnight the order out that day. That is exactly what she did. It arrived here on Friday, and I picked it up Monday.
The lower looks great as it should, and I am pleased with it.
Now, why was the item suddenly available? It was going to be another 2-4 months, but suddenly it shipped out. We all know the answer to that based on what occurred.
There you have it. Thanks Rock River.
