So I purchased a Saint Victor .308 rifle a few months ago and have been having accuracy and feeding issues. I've put about 300 rounds through it now from many different manufacturers as well as reloaded ammo. I've tried many different bullet weights from both factory and reloads, as well as different powder charges, etc.. The best group I can put on paper is about 2 1/2 inches at 100yds. I'm also having multiple stove pipes and casings that will completely flip around in the action and not eject. If I change out the gas screws, or use the adjustable one, I get other types of misfeeds.
I tried using a different scope and mount to address the accuracy issue, but it was the same. My son bought the same rifle and his is a tack driver. I sent the rifle back to Springfield on December 1st. I finally got it back from them on Jan 7th with a work order that said that there was nothing wrong with it. They even sent a target with it with about a 1 1/2" group on it that they said was 168 gr at 100yds. I took it out to shoot. Same issues. I allowed other shooters to try...same result.
Anybody experience anything like this? I'm a very experienced shooter. Needless to say, I'm a little frustrated. Any ideas?
