I dig it!

What brand is that short pic rail section? Also who makes those mlok rail covers?

*edit* Found the rail covers... B5 Systems if anyone else wanted to know.

Shot out my old barrel (PSA Freedom 16" Midlength to BRT OPTIMUM 16" CL) and swapped my archaic 1-4x24 Burris MTAC (I've had it for 7 years on this rifle) for a 2-10x36 Trijicon Credo.

You completely negated the unique feature of the riflespeed gas block, which is easy access to finger adjustments. You'd have been better off with a strike industries adjustable gas block which is cheaper and easier to adjust with a bullet or tool through an mlok slot.

34.9oz

Pre-dimpling it was 44oz, so shaved a nice little bit off.

What barrel and length rail is that?

I have the same optic on a 16" BRT build I've put together. It's a great scope.

It's a 14.5" Criterion core and 13.5" mk16. Your rifle pushed me over the edge to remove the TA110 and put the credo on there. Planning to run either a B5 sopmod or a CTR like you have as well, I just had this lower laying around to put it on for now.

I'm considering building a 14.5 upper for my setup, too. I think 16" is a bit too long with a suppressor for screwing around. I also removed the Arisaka bag rider stuff from my CTR and it's a lot better, IMO. With the Arisaka stuff, the stock weighs a little more than a SOPMOD.

I had a DD LW barrel in this upper with a BCM MCMR before I switched out the barrel/rail. It made the rifle seem a bit long/front heavy with my Turbo K on the end. I haven't shot this upper with the credo/Geissele handguard yet, but I did shoot it with a TA110/14.5/MCMR setup and much preferred the shorter length. I haven't fully settled on my preferred stock yet. I didn't realize the arisaka additions added that much weight, so I may just keep the BCM stock on this gun. I like that I can't shorten the LOP on the BCM with a rear bag on accident like I can the sopmod.

I like the CTR for the same reason. It won't collapse like the SOPMOD when shooting with a rear bag.

The Arisaka kit not only requires the bag rider (which is nice metal), but it also requires their Stock Angle Adapter kit to bolt to the CTR. The adapter kit is two pieces of metal plus a thicker Magpul SL pad and is a noticeable weight increase. Feels more heavy than a SOPMOD to me.

Have you seen the SubRev Tech bag rider for the CTR? It weighs less than 1oz, but it is made of polymer if that matters.

Yeah. If I go with another bag rider, that's what I'm going with. I'm not a fan of 3D printed textures, though.

They also make a lo-pro lever for the sopmod stock, so it won't collapse while on a bag. 😆

It looks like 2 different risers. The one on the handguard with no cross bolts looks like a YHM. Not sure about the one mounted to the receiver.

That rear riser on the receiver is made by BCM. I have one of those as well, but haven't used it yet.
