View Quote Nice... can you provide some details on the modifications? Specifically, what grip safety is that and how much fitting was required |

I'm also working on making a set from Thuya burl and maybe a set from Amboyna burl. And the Tisas factory grips were a perfect fit on the gun - quite snug. |

This is the only model I can find in town, in stock. Wasn’t sure about the color based on this photo but after seeing this thread….I’m going to go buy one tomorrow. |

Except we know its Cerakote. So, the color won't develop the "patina" that a lot of parkerized guns develop. The Taylors gun is actually parkerized. Here's the Taylors parkerized (top) compared to Tisas (Tank Commander) Cerakote (bottom). I tweaked the image settings on the iPhone a lot for these pics. Mainly to get the best resolution possible. The finish of both appears lighter in the pic than in real life in normal lighting. Attached File |

The pic is shown with what look like plastic grips. My Tisas came with those in the box and some nicer checkered walnut grips installed. Like the ones in the post after yours. Except mine came with solid hammer, not ringed hammer. 1911A1 US Army |

This one came bone dry. No burrs on rails or anything to complain about, very well done. Some debris in extractor channel. Can’t wait to put some rounds through it. |

My .170 Dawson FO front showed up yesterday, we'll see how this one goes.
My Stingray was well oiled out of the box, bore was dirty, striker channel clean and dry. Except for POA / POI, I'm really impressed. |

Just picked this up for my girlfriend. I ordered it from Family Firearms. Excellent price.
She liked my Colt Lightweight Commander but wanted something with a little less recoil. Attached File Attached File I did swap the trigger out for a short Greider. |

Did you cut the tisas grips for the bobtail or do they make a bobtail grip? I got some Hogues for mine, but the fitment isn't right for the bobtail.
