Great looking sticks, all. I need to paint two hunting ARs and have had some pretty crap results when test-painting on a cardboard box - what is the best technique? Looking for a 3-color job with soft edges, maybe some areas with well-defined brush pattern, etc. that has depth and just disappears. I tried sticks/rope/brush overlay but the paint went right around the smaller stuff and didn't get good results with bigger stuff either.
What are you all doing to get good results? Really appreciate the advice. |

Can’t find the original picture I took of my deer rifle so this was a few weeks ago at the start of the season. This was my first attemp before painting my more expensive rifles.

Just make sure it’s clean and krylon sticks just fine. It rubs off fairly quickly. I’m hoping the clear coat will help it stick a bit longer. Boys are 3 & 8 so they won’t see Hard use for a bit. |
