So I would call on December 8th just for S's & G's, unless I get something in the mail BEFORE that,? (Who Knows, there MAY BE A SANTA CLAUSE) Pat |

I actually just met with the sheriff yesterday. I got the ol "Since I signed it you better come out and let us try it out" bit. Cant say that am bothered by that. I did however get his take on the reason field. Pat I know you had us put "For any and all lawful purposes including target practice without hearing protection". The Sheriff, who is also a friend, said that since you are always taught that you should use hearing protection, that was not a real good excuse. Basically, instead of "without hearing protectoin", "Noise reduction while shooting" fit a bit better. Right after "collecting" But he did not say that directly Info for the next go around basically as I mentioned there were more to follow.. He was very professional and even printed me on the spot saving me a drive to the Dalles and a $10 printing fee. +1 for Sheriff Joe Wampler of Hood River County. CH |

Has anyone heard from the BATF on these yet? Like an error in paperwork or if they have gone pending yet.
Also, wanted to give it a bump to get back towards the front. Nox Pat really needs to take one of his and bore it out so it'll work with a 9mm. |
Yeah right. My CSO just signed off on it 2 weeks ago, I didn't even get to sit in front of him. I got fingerprinted, left the paperwork and was called the next day to pick it up. Had 3 appointments cancled on me by them
Too soon yet. mid-December is the soonest we would start hearing something. |
+1 on boreing it out for use with 9mm, I would like to see that. Not sure if I would actually do it though.

I mailed my paperwork to transfer a Gemtech Outback II on 9/19, and I just heard from the
transfer dealer that he received the paperwork. My check was cashed on 10/5. So, it took 75 days for the transfer to complete. I was going to call tomorrow to check it's status! :-) I mailed my paperwork for the tac16 on 10/19(one month after the GT Outback), and my check was cashed on 10/24. It should be a very happy new year!!! |
I just fond out that the AFT approved my serial # for my AAC Evolution 9. So they should be shipping out to Pat real soon. Now I just have to start the paper work for it too.
So what is the BATF actually doing with our paperwork and why the lengthy wait?
I have a suspicion that they need to do a dust test on our paper work. You know... the one where they have to let them sit in an in-box until a sufficient level of dust accumulates on them. |
Just got back from the Arizona SAR show, and guess what was in the mail???? (Sorry, just your Form 3, but that means the CAN should be here anyday) Pat Oregon Research Labs, LLC |

Been about 30 day's now, anyone call to see if PENDING yet? Pat |
Kevin was the first to submit the paperwork, I was 2 weeks after that.....been about 40 days atleast for me.
Cool, Pat, thanks for the heads up. Do you know where I can find a thread protecter that is not $40. |
You're probably not even pending yet. But you can always hope. |
There has been PLENTY of 60 days door to door and even a 30 day door to door!!!!
I mailed mine on 11/1 and the check was cashed on the 7th. If this is any indication of things to come, I may have a quiet Christmas
Then pick up the phone! |
Does anyone have the number.
I haven't even checked yet to see where it is in the process. Thanks, Kevin |
I just did, I'm pending... (202)927-8330 |
Now if you're like me it'll be approved sometime in Feb/March
Hopefully with the move to WV wait times will be shorter. I'm watching you guys hoping to see improvement for when I buy my .45acp pistol can. |
Looks like alot of 2 week pending-approved! So mine was 31 days from my mailbox to pending!!
Anybody have the number handy? What info do they need to look it up?
Nox |
(202)927-8330
You need the serial number of your supressor, and your name. |
He didn't ask me for that ... |
Yep. Its the English accent that does it. People just naturally trust me
That sucks. When did they cash your check? Mine was a couple of days short of a month between check cashing and pending. |
Thet received it on 11/10 and cashed the check on 11/14. So only three weeks. I thought that they were supposed to be going pending sooner these days. But then again, maybe they are.
Nox, you should have yelled at them........and quoted the second admendment!
CONGRATS GUYS One step closer. We can still hope for a QUIET X-MAS for someone????? ilike9s Form 3 was the LAST think I got from BATFE, I will let you know as soon as the first Form-4 shows up. Pat |
I am guessing a 3 week to mailbox after pending......thats my bet. so mine will be here the 22nd. Better be damn it!
[Vasquez] He could be right [/Vasquez] , I just checked www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=14&t=232799 and lately the time from pending to approval has been running as short as 15 days and then 5 to mail and receive for F4 individual. |
uuhhhh ....... ( just throwing a wet blanket on y'all ) |
Lighten up Francis Givin ya a hard time, my transfers took forever +4 days. I'm actually hoping they do go quick, I'll have more transfers in the works soon. |
This is why I haven't called. I'll get it when I get it. |
You are more patient than I was. I called at 30,60,90,120 days from pending. My first can was approved 60ish days from pending IIRC, dont know what the hell happened to the other 2 |
BULLSH!T, CALL THEM after 30 days. If you don't they might not think you really want it. Actually, the main reason is to make sure there isn't a problem, like LOST Fingerprint cards, or forgot to sign a form, or you LE signed in the wrong place????? Pat |
Actually, the main reason is that I was at work and didn't have all my info with me. |
My personal experience: I didnt fill out the citizenship form properly, I called the examiner and he told me he was planning to send out his error letters in a couple weeks. In short, my calling saved all that time waiting for a letter to show up. I was able to priority mail him a corrected copy over the weekend and it resumed processing immediately.
I called at 60 days on a M11/9 I was tranferring, and I found out they had lost my check. I had to send a new check to Chicago and then "coordinate" with my examiner. It still ended up taking closer to 6 months for the transfer. It pays to call early and often. |
They cashed my check on 10/24, and I went pending on 11/25(just called). I expect to see it
about 75 days after I submitted the paperwork which should be right around the new year. |
