Both my .22 MP5 knock offs, GSG 5 and an “H&K”. Threads like this make me think of selling them.

You will think I'm crazy but my useless entry is a HK Mark 23 pistol.  It's way too big to be useful especially with my small hands but it is just too cool and the price was right...

They are almost comically large. Super cool though.

Oh, yeah. While we're on the topic of comically oversized/useless handguns, my Megastar also fits.

It's actually heavier than the Mk. 23 as it's entirely steel.

While I've jumped off the striker fired bandwagon now, I don't necessarily agree that the CZ-75 is the best option for hammer fired.  Surely the biggest CULT following, that's for sure.
They're fine guns, don't get me wrong, but the best?  No.

The best is a good SA gun.

But. CZs are certainly great pistols. Mine have been more reliable than my Glocks.

Springfield Armory or single action?

My Glocks have been incredibly reliable, much more so than most other brands I've owned.  I just don't want a striker fired pistol anymore.

Why the FFS?  It was a legitimate question.

By single action do you mean a 1911-style or an old cowboy gun like a peacemaker?

I don't agree with either, btw, just asking out of curiosity.

DA/SA is the way, especially the newer LEM/etc styles.

I prefer DA/SA to striker guns. Many don't, it's a matter of preferece. SA is objectively the best FCG

Don't get me wrong, I love a nicely set up 1911 style pistol at the range for accuracy and speed, but I don't carry them anymore (not since... 2009?).

(This one isn’t mine.)

Weaver Arms Nighthawk, I have two. Okay concept, very shitty execution - could have been something decent. I restored one (including redesigning and making parts). If I wasn’t a collector and gun lover I would have never bought them. But, I love retro military-style semis and grew up during the 70s and 80s when this stuff came out.

I’ve never shot anybody with my Colt 6920 either, doesn’t make it useless though does it?

Seriously though- a fucking Tac 14 is 99.9% the same as the cut down SBS 870 Police Magnum I had, which I carried for breaching doors.  I even bought my own AOW 870 before Shockwaves and TAC14’s ever existed….and could have saved about $300 plus a $5 NFA stamp if they had been around when I got the AOW.  Shockwaves and TAC-14’s are pretty useful in the right situations.

I bought an Altor in .380 and then, with a SOT friend, redesigned it into an AOW. It's still stupid, but slightly less so.

How about the Bushmaster ARM Pistol?  Sold it because it would not run well…. Damned cool design, but utterly unreliable.  At the time I didn’t know how to fix or tweak any guns, but I am pretty damned certain the 25 year later me could have it working a lot better pretty easily, even if it meant redesigning parts….  They still command a premium from collectors as well.

Heard they might be being made again, but WA commies have closed the door on that possibility….

Never sell the cool ones!

Had two, both were problem children. The mag catch height on the magazine was wrong and it would cause misfeeds galore on both and I broke a firing pin on one.

Damn shame, they were fun.

I had one of those damn things in .45, it light striked constantly and would sometimes fire both barrels due to firing pin inertia.
When both barrels fired it'd rip the web of my hand wide open.

I had one of the first-generation Tec-22 Scorpions. It really was a fun plinker but had a bad habit of doubling, tripling, and on one occasion about a 10-shot burst. I sent it back after seeing a recall notice in the American Rifleman and they fixed it.   I got spooked for some reason before the 94 ban and sold it.

The other would be a Taurus PT22 with a tip-up barrel. It was a fun range toy but that 30-pound double-action-only trigger pull made sure it stayed in its case in the back of the gun closet.

I’ve owned two and have one now (both 3rd gen). They will not run with old Wolf ammo from like 15-20 years ago. Other than that, extremely reliable. I love carrying mine around the woods - very cool gun.
