Thanks.  Can't take the credit, though.  Jesse Gorham of Three Wolves Tactical did the Digital Skin.  He does a lot of work for LE and Military and you can't beat his prices...especially considering the fact that he does all his work by hand...not airbrushed like some others.

That really is an outstanding paint job

I'm gonna have to build a rifle and get it lookin that good someday.

I thought the pictures on his site looked familiar, and sure enough,
they were featured in G&A combat tactics.  Ichiro Nagata took a lot of them.
I'm surprised the cost isn't higher for Jesse's work-I may be getting something
done sooner than I thought

Wow, some more sweet looking piston AR's been thrown in the mix since I've been out for the week.

Shadow6, that paint jobs really is nice.

Hey Stephen, what single point sling QD mounts are those on your carbines? I love how they fill "the gap" between the receiver and the stock.

There from the extremely small amount that have slipped through the lines and are in the hands of those who had the change at the time and were Johnny on the spot with it.

I still wouldn't want one over another POF though. They've got more common AR parts, cost less and do everything I could want and very well too.

Liar! You'd pimp you sister for one! Thats a joke, dude!
Really, there is no equal to the HK 416, but the POF system is damn head to head with it.
You can't beat the POF lubeless coatings.
The HK 416 just uses a sl-8/g36 gas system. IMHO, the HK short stroke system is better because of the gas ejection and piston system.

Anyone who sez different is a anti-hk snob(if there is such a thing).

The HK system is THE BEST piston system for the AR-15, in both semi a and full auto.

Sorry POF, but for my money YOU ARE THE ONE. That doesn't mean shit, but if the HK416 system was the same price as POF, I'd go with HK, but since it aint, I am looking for a POF upper.

Actually I've said before and haven't changed my mind one bit, I'd rather another POF anyday before an HK416.

The Hk416 is nice, but the POF system is much nicer to me and they do everything I could want.
They take alot more regular AR parts and have a much more traditional and simple gas cylinder/op rod/piston design which I highly prefer.
I'd like to see an American civilian HK416 owner try to find a replacement bolt, firing pin or any of the gas system parts. Good luck with that.

People can drop names all they want who says the HK416 is the best and do, but there just names in the end and I find the POF the best piston AR design there is regardless.
Since I've already got one, it would take one hell of a rifle to stop me from buying another in it's place and the HK416 isn't it.

I guess the way they handle and shoot in comparison to a standard AR.  Weight, accuracy, reliability, maintenance.

There is no change in weight or accuracy but it runs cleaner and cooler and no gas/CLP in the face.  The rail they come with is about a quarter pound heavier than a regular rail.

I'll know tomorrow, how well it runs suppressed.  Hopefully I'll also have a little non-scientific data about blowback on a di vs. piston gun.
