That does look pretty cool, and the price isn't bad.  I wonder what shipping would cost.

I think it was $9.10.  Someone posted it already.

ETA: Price change...went back and checked.

Let ME know when you do that too, with or without this adapter...

I would be interested in the cheaper price, possibly better check weld, and battery carriage though.  I'm sure the day will come when I am buttstroking people left and right and my plastic stock is going to be worse for the wear, but for now I think i'll get by OK.

I would consider getting two.  One would be a backup for when the first one breaks after hitting someone with it.

Luckily I have an Hbar so I will try for the "barrel-thump" to save my stock if possible.

Why would you be using that portion of the stock to buttstroke someone?

Better yet, why would you buttstroke someone with a carbine instead of using muzzle strikes?

I've used my carbine as an impact tool several times on badguys in real life, and I can't figure out what you are talking about.

I'm interested in your experiences and clarification.  Feel free to IM or email me if you would rather.

How exactly does it attach? Do you have to take the stock off or does it simply slip over and attach with a clamp?

I might need a couple of these...

SSDG (Space Shuttle Door Gunner)...in Zero-G there are totally different strikes with a carbine.

I seen this on their website earlier this week and order one to try out.  I called TDI today because I didn't get an email confirmation.  I was told that my order was 2 - 3 weeks backordered.

I just called in my order - he said a couple of weeks on the black ones, maybe a little longer on the OD and tan.

I ordered a pair of them about 5 hours ago. I got an email confirming my order, but not confirming shipping.

No big deal. I'll post a range report when I get them.

Thanks for the link.

Unrelated question: How good are Surefire G2's for a rail-mounted flashlight? I noticed TDI has them for $35...anyone have some experience with one?

Agreed the G2s do a good job, and TDI's light mount is tops.

Mark what rail are you using for your TDI mount there?  Did you grind down the ribs to install it?

With all the excitement, I noticed that no one has brought up the issue that this design looks like it would rip out wiskers in a heartbeat.  Also, it looks like the stock will be wider then the offer stocks out there. I wonder how friendly the adapters are to Gasmasks?

The pinch factor is my biggest concern.

Either way, I'll still buy a set (when avaliable).

the pinch factor is a problem when any truly manly man comes in contact with a telescoping ar stock.  it's hard to be manly when you are trying pull your face out of your rifle, while {manfully} controlling your tears and screams.

Sounds great, however I just tried ordering one and got to the end where you pick the shipment - I elected UPS ground to Alaska, (thinking this will be the cheapest way to ship) Check this out - A WHOPPING $31.09 TO SHIP!!!!!!! WHOLLY CRAP!!!!! For a $20.00 item! They must be high!

USPS can ship a 1 lbs item Priority for about $6-$7? Talk about feeling a little screwed without a reach around! I guess I'll have my dad get one for me and ship it to me for a whole lot less -

Edit: I place my order - $9.00 to ship to my folks house - In turn will ship to me - Much better then $31.00

I just placed an order for one in black.  I really would like to get a LMT Crane stock and eventually will, but this will due for at least a try.  For $20.00, I think it will be worth a try.

Is there any indication of whether these will fit Cavalry Arms M4 stocks?

It's the TDI rail.  The ribs aren't ground down.  I just drilled big holes in the HG to accomodate for the inserts that would normally rest in the air holes on the top or bottom of the standard hand guard.  It sits right on top of the ribs with three bolts that come with the rail.  It's rock solid.

If you're manly enough to grow a beard, you oughta be manly enough to slap a piece of duct tape on your stock to keep it from snagging your whiskers.
