Just got an M5 Kodiak Brown stripped lower on the way. I'm not entirely sure which way I want to take this build. Since it's a LFAR, I'm thinking about doing like a 13" 308 build. Impractical I know but would def be fun.
Part of me wants to do like a 417 assaulter build but quad rails in LFAR are a bit hard to come by. Then I though maybe like stealing a bit of the aesthetic ideas from the Sig SPEAR. (Mlok rail, do all the furniture in a FDE/Coyote Brown, RAL-8000 mix), another piece of me wants to do the receiver and handguard in the Kodiak Brown and then to black furniture. I'm leaning towards the black and brown standpoint though. Not quite sure yet. Probably keep an eye out for some parts over black Friday and then just Bob Ross it, let it come together on it's own. |

Gents, I'm doing my final batch on SU231A hoods on 25NOV2023. One of the colors I use in the formula, Cerakote has discontinued, and that bottle is on it's last legs. So, this is it...

The pistol brace fight is looking optimistic but a few big cases have flipped as of late. I have a 10.3 pistol that needs a new barrel but I’m waiting out the brace ban BS.

Anyone ever get something truly bad from a Geissele blem sale? This Mk16 I got is awful.
 I was expecting a blem. It took me like 5 minutes to even find it. I would have done this myself the first time I put something MLOK on. Shame on Geissele. I can’t believe they would let me down this way and false advertise this as blemished. It’s terrible I say. To top it off the anodizing doesn’t even hurt my soft and fragile hands. |

Blems are life man. Even my lower has some tiny tiny blems in it. But I sort of like that. Keeps me from shedding a tear the first time I put a mark in it. There's a time and place for perfection. Swiss watches, 1911s....etc. But in this context I like the small marks. Gives it some character. |

My 10.4 CAG clone upper on an M4 Lower
 The lower was actually built to match the Navy EOD 10.3 Upper but it will work until I get my RAL8K STS A5 Lower
