Here are my first two builds. Sorry for the crappy pic. The spr now has arms rings and bipod adapter instead of the stuff shown.

Do yourself a favor and take that bipod off of the barrel! That Daniels Defense handguard is meant to FREE FLOAT your barrel and is designed to eliminate pressures put on your barrel(such as bipods) that can change your POI and decrease your accuracy. By using your barrel as a rest, you are negating all the advantages that can be had by free floating the barrel. Put the bipod on your hanguard and your fine. |

Buckeye,
We get pretty good accuracy from that rifle. It's all dark earth now, but I only have the upper back, the lower will be ready this Tues. My Son and I shoot as a hobby. We like to get the best shots we can, but we don't expect to put one through the last hole in the paper. We do not shoot in competitions. We do pretty much hit what we aim at, so I'm not complaining. The Daniel Defense rails serve a couple purposes for me. One, its the coolest looking rail I've seen. Two, I believe it is lighter than standard handguards. And three my original plan was to use the bottom rail to attach the bipod. I haven't exactly figured out how to do that yet. The m60 is a taller bipod, and I like the way it looks too. My Son is 6' 7" and uses those long biod legs. I would like to hear your (or anyones) input on how to attach my m60 bipod to the lower rail, and have it look professional. Until I find a solid, quality method of attachment, I'm stuck attaching it to the bayonet lug. Which is quick on, quick off and very sturdy. When the bipod is attached to the bayonet lug, I can't put the bayonet on. I want to get them both on the rifle at the same time. Thanks for your reply. That is definately a technical problem I have with the rifle right now. I hope to solve it soon. Pictures in flat dark earth next weekend. :) |

who makes it? |

It is a DPMS lower with a kit from akparts.com, on their site it says they use LMT or LAR uppers. I have just got it completed and not gotten out to shoot it yet, I hope I am happy with it, this was my first build and I wanted to go as cheap as I could in case I really dont care much for these guns I can sell it and maybe get my money back out of it.

I have a Bushnell acog clone on the way along with a miculek comp and a tac sling from ranger joes.... The hand guns are STI's http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s119/timtpgun/Gunpic1.jpg |
